Character Biography

Name: Ornisk
Title: the Silver Dragon (that is how he is known as among the folks of Icewind dale)
Alias(es): Silverstar (For those who have trouble pronouncing the correct -sk in his draconic name)

Race: Tiefling
Gender: Male
Date of Birth/Age: Shieldsmeet, 31 Flamerule, 1452 DR
Hairsyle & Color: Long flowing hair, Silver
Eyes: Silver, Glow(Silver) - Solid
Skin Tone: Deep Red
Height: 6' 0.5"
Weight: 165 lbs.

Birthplace/Homeland: Icewind Dale
Relatives: Unmarried, Only Child. His parents own a tavern and live in Icewind Dale. His father is a huan and mother is a human of tiefling heritage.

Characteristics and defining traits: Ever since his young age, ornisk has been different from others. At first he was ridiculed for looking different from other kids of his age, but after he defeated an orc which attacked the young kids when they were playing in the fields by using wits, he quickly became their leader. However, Ornisk has no interest in leadership and used to spend his time studying the history, language and particularly investigating rumors of dragons. For some reason, he can't explain - he always had a fascination for silver and for Moon which he regards as a chunk of silver in the skies of Toril. He was shocked to know that the Moon was alive. He is of thin build than others but it is more because of his neglect to a proper diet due to his unexplained absence which he calls "travels" or because of his dreaminess and obsession about silver. However, he is honorable and lawful to the fault and will always keep his word whatever the cost. He had a habit of jumping in fierce battles but if the opponent is comparatively strong, he would jump back and use wits and other tactics. In any fight, he will make sure to protect those who are weaker than him and allow them enough opportunity to escape before he fights his enemies seriously.
It is said that his sight can "capture" the power of the Moon, as they shine brightly every full Moon. It is once said that he was bitten by a werewolf, but the werewolf was instantly poisoned by the bite. And he never showed any signs of the curse of lycanthropy which drives many victims insane. Ever since then, he has been called silver dragon by folks of Icewind dale for his extraordinary feats of protecting the lands from vicious monsters.

Background/Biography: Ornisk was born with this inscription on the left side of his chest.
Ornisk.jpg
It was later found that this inscription is in draconic for Orn-isk (Draconic doesn't use space between characters). He fell in love with Moon in early age and hence started worshiping Selune. He came to know that a few clerics of Selune are gathering in Neverwinter. Hence he decided to find them in case they know about the runes which were on him as birthmark and his fascination of the Moon.
Little to none, else than that, is known about him.

Background/Biography: Iralen was born on the verdant elven island fortress of Evermeet over a century ago. She left at an early age with her parents who felt the call of adventure like so many other moon elves and was left in care of relatives in Evereska while her parents were on a mission for the royal crown of Evermeet when the Spellplague hit. In the ensuing chaos, Iralen lost contact with her parents along with her lost elven heritage as Evermeet disappeared from the face of Toril. In an act of rebellion as much as loneliness and heartache, she left the elven fortress of Evereska only to emerge years later from the shadows of Waterdeep having honed her natural cat-like quickness, acrobatic skill, and stealthy cunning into a thriving career as a rogue and "liberator" of treasures. Iralen has since reconciled with the remnants of House Korianthil who have established a base of operations in Evereska since the Spellplague. Through her House, she dutifully takes on missions set forth by the Elven Ruling Council of Evereska when they require her certain set of less than reputable skills. When not on a mission for House, Evereska, and Elvenkind, she lives her temerarious and prodigal lifestyle wherever adventure calls her. Most recently, she has been honing a repertoire of seafaring and pirating skills under the tutelage of the nefarious Captain Lucian Ebonheart. Iralen had come to Neverwinter on a mission but is staying for the adventures to come...

'Old Zeb'@zebular

. . . Zebular appears to be an elderly moon elf of wise wits and princely charm. He often speaks with a low story-telling voice about things of the ancient past, as though they had just recently happened, often loosing himself in conversation with others. He stands a proper postured six-feet tall of elven lithe and grace. His hair is worn at shoulder-length and straight gray-white strands. His gaze is one of piercing pale-blue eyes that seem to convey a sense of both deep understanding and mysterious allure. Often seen dressed in fine silken robes of contrasting blacks and whites, he wears around his neck an ancient holy symbol of Mystra that has been unused for thousands of years, since the days of Mystryl, that of a four-pointed blue-white star over-stretching a similarly hued hollow disc.

Patron Deity:
Mystra / Mystryl

Class:
Spellstorm Mage (Control Wizard)

Date of Birth:
Recorded as being reborn in -1733 DR by surviving records in Myth Drannor.

History:

. . . Zebular has often spoken of his past through out Neverwinter and from which, it has been learned that he is the younger and only known sibling of the Lich known as "Arthindol the Terraseer" that resides in the ruins of Oreme. His only known mention in history is found in the restored city of Myth Drannor, where we was recorded as being the only born son of a noble moon elven couple in -1733 DR. Exactly when he left Myth Drannor, and the exact date of his birth is unknown, but he has often spoken of his later days as an adult student of magic. What is known of this old moon elf derives from his wild tales that he often speaks of in the Moonstone Mask, and to those who listen to his ramblings. From this, it's been gathered that Zebular was not born elven, or even human, but something else entirely from the Era when both Primordials and Gods walked the World. His exact date in that ancient time of history is unrecorded by mortals and what has been recorded in history begins in the Era known as the Arcane Age.

. . . Sometime during the height of Netheril, in what is now known as the Arcane Age, Zebular reunited with his older brother and traveled to ancient Netheril where he took up residence in one of the great floating enclaves of the time, called Delia Enclave. There he studied magic and took a radically different path and perspective of magic than his older brother and the rest of Netheril. Shortly after his arrival in Delia Enclave, Zebular became enthralled by the Mysteries of the then Goddess of Magic and Time, Mystryl, and soon after swore fealty to her. This lead him on a path which took him to undertaking studies of not only Magic but also of Time and Divination. Partaking in his brother's vision of the downfall of Netheril, Zebular prepared himself but it was not enough. As magic failed and ran wild after the casting of Karsus' Avatar, which destroyed his Goddess, Zebular was thrown into the Abyss, where he soon became imprisoned by a daemon - later learning the creature had fallen under control of his brother, Arthindol who believed his younger brother was working Chronomancy in an attempt to alter the fate of Mystryl. Zebular remained imprisoned in this unknown plane of the Abyss, where time moved much slower than that of the Prime, for many thousands of years. When Mystra perished for the third time, being assassinated by Cyric and Shar, the following Spellplague caused his bonds to be free.

. . . When he returned to Toril, he began to rapidly age and grew weaker until he stumbled into a Spellscar, which consumed his already fading life force. Zebular's dead body was found shortly after by a moon elven nobleman of Myth Drannor, one Lord Corthyais Ilyturials. As Lord Corthyais examined the dead body of the elderly human, something caught his eye in the night sky. As he focused upon the light, it grew brighter until he could make out that it's light split into eight points, resembling the holy symbol of his wife's patron deity, Corellon Larethian. Taking this as a sign from the God of All Elves, he pondered it's meaning upon him... and this dead elderly man before him. Thoughts filled the Elven Lord's mind, thoughts of his Wife, Lady Ambrsyala, who had long been past her prime and unable to bear children to carry on the family line. Seeing this as a sign from Corellon Larethian, Corthyais knew what he had to do. He called upon Corellon for Strength and hurled the old human's body over his shoulder, taking him back to Myth Drannor, where he would pay the Church the rest of his personal wealth to reincarnate this human into his first born son.

. . . Lord Corthyais went back to his wife and told her the story of the events he had witnessed and his actions. Being a devout priestess of Corellon Larethian, she believed her husband but this was not enough to satisfy her. She spend three weeks in isolation and constant prayer to Corellon and on the 28th night, she was answered by a vision of her divine God.

. . . "Raise the child as your own, for I have bled for his immortal soul, blood that now runs through his veins. The same blood that runs through all my children. Name him Zebular and he will come to love you as the Mother that you now are, but know this," The vision of Corellon warned and continued, "His trials are great and he already has a mother of neither your world nor that of Arvandor. When the Hidden One returns to the World, she will reclaim her child of magic." Lady Ambrsyala wept in both love and loss, yet she was comforted as the vision faded when Corellon spoke once more to her, "Weep not my child, for you will be with me in Arvandor and not come to feel this loss, and you will always watch over him beside me, always." The vision then faded completely and she wiped her tears, feeling no more sorrow, no more despair, only that of a gentle kick to her stomach. As she instinctively put her hands to her stomach and looked down, she began to weep once more. A weep not in sadness, but in joy and comfort as she found herself to be pregnant... and not only that, she was at the end of her pregnancy, in labor! Soon after, she gave birth to a white-haired moon elven boy with iridescent blue eyes and named him Zebular as her God instructed in her vision. For the next fifty years, they taught all they could to their only son, who seemed to age three times as fast as a normal elf.

. . . Upon coming of age, Zebular began to have visions during his revere, that of his former life. When he finally went to his parents to ask them of this, his parents knew it was time to not only reveal their son's past to him, but also for them to answer the Call of Arvandor. They told Zebular the true nature of his birth and what they had known from the visions and signs gifted to them by Corellon Larethian. Soon after, both of his parents passed on from the mortal world. By this time, Zebular was married to the Lady Cahtryn Neirdre of House Neirdre and expecting a child of their own. A few days later, his wife gave birth to their first and only child, but to his sorrow, she died during child birth.

. . . When he would not obey the Coronal of Myth Drannor and remarry to carry on the Noble line, the Coronal ordered Zebular to turn over the child to be raised by his wife's family, House Neirdre. Obeying his Coronal, Zebular named his child "Cahtryn Ilyturials," after his beloved wife and then left Myth Drannor that same night. This lead him to take up residence in the area of the fabled Jewel of the North, aiding in its restoration, where he has adopted his brother's former title as "the Terraseer," dedicating it to the memory and old ways of Mystryl, despite not being able to make contact with his fallen Goddess.

. . . Zebular now remains in the Neverwinter area, continuing to age at an increased rate, studying the new laws and ways of Magic while recounting the History he once lived, hoping to one day be able to confront his undead brother for his imprisonment and to set his brother free from undeath. As well, he has once again begun recording the passage of time in a magical tome titled, "The Grimoire of Time" -- an ancient tome he created prior to his imprisonment, which he had hidden in a secret place in the now Neverwinter Wood. Zebular is known to travel to the Neverwinter Wood on occasion, despite its known dangers, but where he goes therein... no one knows or have dared to follow. He has however once mentioned residing within a tower made of black obsidian and white marble, which he calls "The Dweomerkeep Library," but has never disclosed its true location.

. . . Over the recent years, it has been learned that a human child of Zebular's still exists, known through out Faerûn as, "Zeb the Younger." This human ranger is middle-aged and claims to have been petrified for over a thousand years while defending the ancient Elven Court from a Medusa menace long ago. When Zebular's human son was freed from his petrified state, he learned of an old man going by the name of "Old Zeb" and traveled to Neverwinter to find him and discover who this person was. When the two met, they shared their memories and have since reformed a strong bond, despite their now separation of species.

. . . Ancient scholars have tried to discredit Zebular's claims as being a younger brother of Arthindol, stating that he'd need to be well over thirty-thousand years old to be related to him and even older still if his claims of origins during the time of the Primordials. When confronted by a noble mage once with this, he only replied by smiling and saying,"that would be a story in another Time..." This has lead many of Neverwinter's residents to consider Zebular to be nothing more than a crazy old mage with wild stories that are things to tell their children as faerie tales -- of which, he seems carefree in such speculation. On occasion, he can be found in the Moonstone Mask, telling wild tales of magic and adventure in ancient Netheril.

Companions and Allies:

Notes: * outside DDO and Neverwinter, Nehorai is canonically a very short (5'9!) githzerai hailing from Shra'kt'lor in Limbo. If the powers-that-be ever add the giths as a playable race, the redhead's getting punted back to his people. It is *known*.

Alias(es): Ella (informal nickname), Sylvana, Silver Serrah
Race: Star Elf (Eladrin, Ruar-tel-quessir)
Gender: Female
Class: Devote Cleric
Date of Birth/Age: 855 DR / 624 years
Hairsyle & Color: Long silvery white hair
Eyes: Ice blue
Skin Tone: Pale
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 117 lbs.
Birthplace/Homeland: Sildeyuir, Feywild
Relatives: Two brothers and her mother all still live in the Feywild. Her father, Galasson Silverleaf, was a well-known master sword mage in the Feywild, but died in battle against Nilshai invaders. Ellawyn is a widow of the human ranger Tallis Tendros; they were married for six years before her husband died at Ellawyn’s side battling a powerful Lich Wizard 35 years ago. She has never remarried and has no children.
Description: More beautiful and graceful then even most Star Elves, Ellawyn has delicate features and intense piercing eyes. With most, she is reserved and serious, but when around those few that she truly trusts and calls friends she opens up and has a dry and witty sense of humor. Ellawyn is very compassionate and will help most anyone in need. Her alignment is Chaotic Good.
Background/Biography: Like most Eladrin youth, Ellawyn was trained in martial combat early on. And though she was a skilled melee fighter, she didn’t find her true calling until she had a life changing experience with the goddess Sehanine Moonbow. At the age of 98 she was visited by an aspect of the goddess and informed that she had been chosen to execute the goddesses will by protecting those in need and destroying abominations, like the undead, wherever they can be found. This profound experience completely altered Elawyn's life and she immediately dedicated herself to the service of the goddess. With this commitment, she was blessed with Sehanine's divine power. From that point on the goddess would communicate with her in dreams or through avatars and direct her Chosen to where she is most needed. That is how she ended up in Faerun and eventually Neverwinter.
Notes: Although she is an official member of the Harpers, she had not been involved with the organization for many years.

Name: Alurvelve

Sex: Male

Age: 31

Race: City Elf

Orientation: Straight

Height: 5'10"

Weight: 145

Eye Color: Crystal Blue

Hair Color/Style: Silvery White

Physical Appearance: His long silvery white hair flows down to his shoulders, bouncing effortlessly with each step. His icy blue eyes seem to always sparkle with his coyness, adding that mischievous glint to his gaze. Alurvelve's soft skin is smooth and tanned, as if it was kissed by the sun. His body is well toned from the rigorous training he endures on a daily basis. As an Elf he sticks out from the crowd, wearing fabulous fashions of the finest quality. His flamboyant attire is topped off with a wide brimmed hat holding a single long feather. Though this is only one side of the coin, only half of who he truly is. The other persona has been dubbed the Avenger, a darkly clad masked vigilante who's name is often spoken as if a ghost. While dressed as the Avenger he wears dark leathers and a black hooded cloak, a pale mask resting over his face to conceal his identity.

Equipment & Abilities:

Daggers: Alurvelve keeps a long jewel crested dagger hidden against his back, the very weapon used to kill his mother in front of his eyes by a human ruffian. He also keeps two slender throwing daggers in each boot.

White-Fang: His most well known item is White-Fang, a slender blade carved from the rare tooth bone of a dragon. Fashioned in the mold of a rapier, its basket hilt is crafted to resemble that if a wolf's head. The sword is engraved with magical runes which grant its wielder special abilities. The first of these powers is something that has saved his life on a number of occasions against Mages. It completely protects him against mundane and magical fire. The second one is that the blade emits a cold aura when drawn, immediately dropping the temperature around him and casting a soft blue light. The third and final ability of this magnificent blade as that even the slightest nick can leave a lasting impression. Instantly draining the person with a freezing touch and sapping them of their life essence, slowing their limbs. More deadly cuts have been known to completely entomb a man in ice, granting them an icy grave. The blade is one of the reclaimed artifacts of Arlathan, the lost Elven Kingdom. It is said that the sword is the left fang of Fen'Harel, the elven god of tricksters and bringer of nightmares.

Alurvelve has two other items of special interests and mostly uses these two under his Avenger persona. While he only uses White-Fang when he is Alurvelve.

Concealed dagger: Concealed within the decorative silverite arm-guard is a spring loaded dagger also crafted from the silverite metal. The mechanisms in this device make it easily concealed to even the most well trained eyes.

Wrist crossbow: The silverite arm-guard on his right forearm is a bit larger than its brother on his left. Both eloquently decorated with Elven designs. However this one is even more different than that. Folding open into a crossbow capable of shooting tiny darts, which are often poisoned. The other design feature of this arm-guard is that it acts as a buckler as well. Allowing him to deflect other projectiles, or parry incoming strikes.

Studded leather: This heavy leather was cured from the skin of a mature Drake, then dyed black. Due to its consistency it is more resilient than typical leathers and provides Alurvelve with much more protection.

Phoney pouch: To deter thieves Alurvelve wears a fake belt pouch visible on his waist, though it is filled with colored pebbles that resemble the weight of a coined purse. Also inside this ruse he keeps a single mixed potion that resembles a healers poultice. Though its true ingredients are that of a poison, toxic to any would be consumer. His real pouch being concealed at the small of his back.

Elven traits: Alurvelve has awakened his Elven qualities lost to them years ago. Giving him supernatural like hearing and seeing well beyond that of any human. Eyesight keen to that of a hawk or other birds of pray, hearing as attuned like an owls. His Elven nimbleness makes him graceful, and when combined with his expert training he is capable of performing awe inspiring feats of acrobatics and tumbling.

Swordsmanship: By others he has been given the nickname of 'The Untouchable'. His sword fighting techniques heavily focused on defensive. Parrying and evading attacks to ware his opponents down while he exerts little energy, allowing him to strike at opportune moments when his adversaries grow tired and weak, their own defenses dropping. However when he knows that he far outclasses his enemies he chooses for a more flamboyant fighting style. Involving dashing acrobatics and outlandish maneuvers that might cause an inferior swordsman his death.

Musical talent: Years ago he learned that the art of war would only get a person so far. That there are finer things in life than battle. From a young age he learned to spin a tale to gain an audiences attention, finding that it would often feed his starving belly. From there he began singing and learning to play the lute. Composing music that would captivate even the grandest of nobility. He found that his melodic voice made things easier to woo a maiden from her virtues. That there were indeed more pleasurable things in life than just war and vengeance.

Personality:

Alurvelve radiates confidence in himself, and his actions. Some would even claim this to be arrogance, and they would not be wrong for he talks a very big game. However Alurvelve just fully believes in himself, and his well trained and tested capabilities. He is an Elf that knows his limits and has trained diligently throughout his life to obtain his specific skill sets. Part of this arrogance is because of his knowledge. Alurvelve has made sure he knows exactly what he is getting himself into each and every time. Always planning, and playing out the multiple scenarios in his head. In his life he has learned that to obtain great rewards, one must take great risks. But only a fool rushes into those risks.

When it comes to other people Alurvelve views them as a means to an end. He is a manipulator, and some would say a corrupter. Using those around him to achieve whatever goal he desires next. It be a persons intimate company for the night, or something more glorious. Some might see his goals as a raciest towards humans, but that is not so. He just harbors a deep hatred for those who would take advantage of his Elven people. Gaining his trust is not an easy task, but for those who do manage it. Find they have an ally who would go to the ends of the world for them. Throughout his entire career there has always been one weakness. A pretty face.

Name: Rackham Dane
Alias(es): Rackham, Rack, Shorty, Rat-catcher

Race: Halfling
Gender: Male
Class: Trickster Rogue
Date of Birth/Age: 1447 DR / 32 years
Hairsyle & Color: Short brownish-gray hair, tied back. Sideburns grown long on both sides of the face.
Eyes: gray
Skin Tone: dark, weathered complexion
Height: 4' 0"
Weight: 110 lbs.

Birthplace/Homeland: Luskan
Relatives: none revealed

Description:

Short even for a halfling with a wide, stocky build, Rackham’s posture and stance reveals a weathered fighter able to hold his own in a fight. Wide-set jaw, dark gray eyes, and a sharp, angled nose. His face shows a certain ruggedness, no doubt from his early years in the harsh docks of Luskan. His eyes are constantly watchful, eyeing each person in the room with a cool confidence.
Outfitted with leather armor, well worn and supple. An assortment of daggers and blades can be seen affixed to his armor and belts, and there’s no question there are even more weapons concealed from sight.

Background/Biography:
Born in Luskan among the halfling clans living near the docks. Originally hired to work the cargo ships, the halfling tribes quickly gained their territory and eked out a small quarter for themselves.
With the corruption of the City of Sails, life in Luskan was harsh. Rackham grew up learning to steal, cheat, and swipe anything worth of value, whether it was something to sell for money or simply to keep food on the table. Often times he would take work with merchant guilds, helping to offload cargo off the ships as well as serve as a rat-catcher – a disgusting job responsible for the elimination of rats off of visiting sailing vessels.

Eventually life in Luskan grew unbearable for Rackham. With the Bregan'daerthe gaining power in the city as well as the rise of other gangs, the former rat-catcher started to seek life in other cities. When he heard of recent re-growth in the destroyed Neverwinter, Rackham headed south in hopes to carve out a better life.

Now a year later, Rackham has earned himself some reputation among the various theives and mercenaries living in the Blacklake District.

Name: Vandayinu D'Verra
Title: Founder of the Rubykissed Hand
Alias(es): Underdweller, Soot-Skinned Wench, various other slurs

Race: Drow
Gender: Female
Class: Trickster Rogue
Date of Birth/Age: 1251 DR/234 years
Hairsyle & Color: Chin-length simple, pale blonde
Eyes: Violet
Skin Tone: Dark grey
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 163 lbs.

Birthplace/Homeland: Lith My'athar
Relatives: Sister to Kaldiana D'Verra, Daughter to Lliyana D'Verra(deceased)

Description: Wearing a hooded cloak that obscures her true features, little can be told about this woman aside from the fact that she is some sort of elf. Not-quite-concealed by her cloak is the handle of a shortsword, the hilt and pommel of the weapon are worn smooth and polished to a mirror-like sheen from decades of loving care.

Background/Biography: Born into the lesser house D'Verra in the Drow city Lith My'athar, Vandayinu secretly supported the local followers of Eilistraee and hated the Valsharess's rule. Truth be told, she was one of the extremely rare Drow that desired to explore the surface - a desire that not even the most intense teacher could lash out of her.

Tymora was with her on the day that the wizard Halaster sent a group of adventurers into the Underdark, whom she happily assisted in exchange for a slot in their party once their duty to Waterdeep was completed. She adventured with this band for a few years, wherein she turned towards the worship of Sharess, goddess of sensual fulfillment and festhalls, amongst other things.

In the year 1391 DR, Vandayinu founded the Rubykissed Hand escort company, a sort of hireling service based out of Neverwinter. Over the years, Vandayinu has gradually gained some semblance of acceptance amongst the nobility, and especially the Cheldarstorn family thanks to her constant patronage of the Moonstone Mask. How did a Drow even manage to gain access to the Moonstone Mask in the first place? Vandayinu wooed one of her fellow adventurers, and convinced them to cash in a favor the Cheldarstorns owed. Unfortunately, this adventurer was a mere human and has long since died of old age. Vandayinu pays tribute to their memory by keeping their weapon upon her person at all times.
Notes: For Drow elves, 'acceptance' means not everyone is trying to kill them on sight.

Name: Simply Handannahaf
Title: Mad Wizard Handannahaf, Ruler of the Maze of Dead Men
Alias(es): HAMSTER Wizard, Handy, Anna

Race: Human
Gender: Male
Class: Wild Mage/Arcane Theurge
Date of Birth/Age: 1350 DR / 129 years
Hairsyle & Color: Wild, buttocks-length green
Eyes: Silver irises
Skin Tone: Bright orange
Height: 5' 9"
Weight: 138 lbs.

Birthplace/Homeland: Candlekeep
Relatives: None known.

Description: Green hair and bright orange skin mark this elderly man as someone who once dabbled in Wild Magic. Clad in frayed gray travel robes that might once have had color, the smell of the swamp clings to this man like a lover, and a look of cheerful madness dances in his eyes. Despite his advanced age, this strange old man stands as tall as any soldier in the prime of his life.

Background/Biography: Born in Candlekeep, Handannahaf threw himself into his arcane studies with reckless abandon, most particularly Wild Magic. He started out on an adventuring career at a relatively early age for a wizard and made himself quite wealthy through his exploits, eventually earning enough coin to retire and build himself a tower somewhere in the Mere of Dead Men, using the numerous corpses in the swamps as an undead work force. As a craftsman, his works are known throughout Faerun, and are quite popular among collectors of items of questionable utility. He is most famous for his Ice Sword of Handannahaf: an ornamental HAMSTER sword crafted entirely from ice and imbued with flaming enchantments. He currently resides in his tower in Meredelain, whiling away the time between visitors by crafting miscellaneous objects to sell to traveling merchants, or distribute among adventurers that come seeking to challenge his maze.
Notes: Despite his alias of The HAMSTER Mage, Handannahaf is actually a friendly, benevolent fellow. He chooses to call himself the HAMSTER Mage because of the pun in his name - a HAMSTER sword is alternatively known as a hand-and-a-half sword.

Background/Biography: Glarich is a druid (or druidic-like Cleric) who made his home in a swamp. I don't know the lore of Forgotten Realms, so I don't know where. Name: Theresa Archiloni
Title: consiliere of Silvernest
Alias(es): Archi

Race: Elven
Gender: Female
Class: Controle Wizard
Date of Birth/Age: 1315 DR / 164 years
Hairsyle & Color: long loose, Dark Chestnut
Eyes: Vemon Green
Skin Tone: light suntan
Height: 5 ft 6
Weight: 115 lbs.

Relatives: An elder brother and a younger sister and a community of relatives.

Description: Theresa appears calm and with a cold distance towards strangers. There have been people describing her as arrogant and withdrawn. At a closer glance she strikes one as being observant and reserved, giving a cold aura that strengthens her aristocratic presence.
Her eyes, has an unnatural glow giving her sight a venomous and playful appeal. Her long dark chestnut hair possesses deepness as if it absorbs the all light nearby. For some reason it feels like the shadows surrounding her elegantly body, embraces her, and holds her in a deathly calm grip.

Background/Biography: Theresa grow up as the middle sister of three siblings having a younger sister, Angelina and an older brother, Nightingale. From birth she was already an elegant creature, destined to marry into a noble house and strengthen the political power of House Silvernest. She was taught in the ways of a scholar and a noble, all leading to her already planned future.
Many houses made enquiries about her hand in marriage, but House Silvernest wanted to play their hand in the best manor possible and kept an agreement at distance.
But destiny had other plans with Theresa. After and raid from a straying pack of rogues, Theresa was left badly bruised and within the reach of death. For months she shifted between life and the edge of death. When she finely became stable and returned to the realm of the living, her will had become broken and her body fragile and weak. Her hair had become grey and her eyes tired. Her beauty became a mask of pain mixed with the former elegance, a twist horrifying and yet captivating.
The other Houses, once so eager for her hand, now turned away, and everything Theresa was taught seamed useless and without a goal.
She started wondering the wild fields and forest surrounding the estate of her family, becoming a loner, only close to her brother, who refused to see her as anything else then the young beautiful sister whom he had protected and watched over for all these years.
One autumn, as the leaves faded into decay, Theresa went missing. It was only after a handful of days that her absence became alarming, and the family began searching for Theresa. First the send out letters to the estates in the local area asking if anyone had seen any sign of Theresa, but they all came back silent. Then they send out the rangers of House Silvernest but just like the letters, they all came back with nothing of news. Nothing indicated any sign of Theresa, and when all hope seemed lost, Theresas brother went out on a desperate search, traveling into the highest of mountains and the darkest of woods. It was then, just as the trees let go of the their last leaves and the wind started howling in the top of the naked branches, that an unnatural storm struck Nightingale, and forced him deeper and deeper into the darkness of the a nearby forest, desperate to find shelter from the raging storm. Deeper and deeper into the forest he came, until – at a blink of the eye – silence took over. He had not been noticing the way he traveled and was stroked by disbelieve, when he found himself surrounded by a wild growing garden. Old pillars and walls were either standing or lying around on the ground telling a story of a time long gone, a time where others had used the ground as a place, for what appeared, to be divine rituals. As Nightingale got closer to the middle of the garden, he noticed an old three standing the middle of and circular platform, gently weaving at him with its silver leaves, as if it was calling out for him. As he approached the foot of the three, his eyes were drawn to a pile laying there, protected by the shadows, as if the shadows were stroking the pile. He kneeled down before it and calmly brushed away the top of the leave, revealing a sight he had lost all hope of seeing again. There swept in a dress, black as the night, protected by the presence of the divine darkness provided by the garden, there lay his sister.
She was in a deep sleep, deeper than any natural sleep could ever provide. She was smiling, and as Nightingale took Theresa into his arms and lifted her up, the light reflected on the silver leaves and cast light over her face. The sight was breathtaking. Theresas hair was no longer grey. The lines in her face were gone and her skin had gain a healthy golden color. She was as beautiful as ever before, even more so.
Nightingale left the garden with the Theresa in his arms, as a treasure of life, not daring to let go.
The road home seamed short and light. But at no time did Theresa become awake. At her return she lay in what seemed like hibernation that went on for weeks.
One day, as the start of a new year was about to toll, Theresa opened her eyes. She stood up and walk out of her room as if it was a morning like everyone else. When she meet her parents at the end of the long stair leading from her room, down to the ground floor, they both starred in disbelieve. The daughter in front of them was, as Nightingale had foretold, blooming with life and beauty. But in a way that made them at unease. Her former self had returned, but still it didn’t feel like the once so noble and naive Theresa. Must notable was her eyes almost glowing with a venomous green color, framed by her long dark hair that felt like it was absorbing all light that came near it.
Theresa did never return to her former self. She had learned that status and wealth were things so easily removed by destiny. No longer did she have any desire to fulfill the destiny once laid for her in the House of Silvernest. No longer did she care for the nobles once again appearing at her doorstep asking for her hand. And rarely did she appear at the feasts held in the family name.
Instead she began studying the ways of the old lore. Studding books of magic and searching the community for old scrolls once lost and thought never to be found again.
Magic came easily to her without guidance, as if she had a deeper understanding of its existence.
Her role in the House Silvernest slowly shifted from a future investment in the political power to an adviser holding power where her unnatural presence and elegance became well known as well as her sharp mind. Over time she became more feared then adored as an enigma that no one could unlock.

As the knowledge in the community began to dry out, Theresa started preparing a pilgrimage to Neverwinter, in search of things long forgotten…

Name: Garret Brennar
Title: Street Urchin / Sorceror's Apprentice
Alias(es): Gary

Race: Half-Elf
Gender: Male
Class: Control Wizard (RP Class would be an Arcane Sorceror)
Date of Birth/Age: 21
Hairsyle & Color: Brown, shaggy and unkempt hair
Eyes: Brown iris.
Skin Tone: "Caucasian"
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 174 lbs

Birthplace/Homeland: Baldur's Gate
Relatives: Human mother and an Elven father. Father left at a young age, mother died during his youth.

Background/Biography: --
An outcast of two different societies and cultures, Garret was forced to raise himself in the lower districts of Baldur's Gate, constantly reminded of his heritage all throughout his youth. In his mid-teens, Garret developed an aptitude for the use of basic weapons, but as he grew older he slowly began to discover his innate abilities at basic magic, having self-taught how to levitate small objects -- a skill that proved extremely useful for him while a street urchin. He was eventually found by a travelling wizard named Aedric (Ey-drick) Thadison, who took him in as an apprentice -- essentially becoming the true father figure that Garret needed.

Several years down the line, Garret became proficient at magic and spellcasting, growing into the son that Thadison never had. The young Half-Elf had been apprenticed at the venerable wizard's homestead just outside of Baldur's Gate, learning the intricacies of spellcasting and concepts of the arcane. A roaming band of thieves raided the homestead, one day, and despite being an experienced and accomplished wizard, Thadison was overcome by one of the thieves -- who was also very proficient in the arcane school of magic -- and killed. With his final words, Thadison had sent Garret off to find another master much stronger than he was.

Garret has spent years traveling, both looking for this illusive master and to seek out the ones who killed the one he had grown to call a father.

Description: --
Garret is lean - as a half-elf, he is naturally taller than most humans yet shorter than most elves. He never developed himself, physically, as he felt he never needed it - however, during his intense training under Aedric, his upper body was, at the very least, honed into a somewhat athletic build. His facial structure clearly speaks of his elven heritage, with very little to no resemblance of his human mother - except for narrow, brown eyes. His hair reaches down to the crest of his back, parted to each side at the top with swooped bangs above his forehead. Despite his lean features, he maintains an otherwise rustic look. Garret also has a small brown "soul patch" along his chin.

The half-elf takes on a more serious and down-to-earth personality - though he is no stranger to sarcasm. Oftentimes, he can be mistaken for being without humor, but for anyone that he is comfortable being around he is capable of finding use for sarcasm. He sometimes has the tendency to converse with himself.

He dresses humbly, normally wearing a blue linen tunic with a brown leather mantle, and brown linen trousers that are tucked into black boots. He normally has a satchel at his side, slung over his opposite shoulder. Garret also normally keeps a book chained to his belt - most likely his mentor's book of spells, the majority of which Garret does not fully grasp. During his travels, he normally keeps a brown linen cloak wrapped around his upper torso, which covers his mantle for the most part - it resembles a horse's blanket, with no discernible qualities about its appearance.

Notes: Garret was going to be a Pathfinder character concept I had swimming around in my head.

Alignment: Chaotic Good
Religion/Deity: Hanali Celanil the fey aspect of Sune (SOO-nee) said to be one of three aspects of Angharradh, the chief goddess of the Seldarine.
"Life is worth living because of the beauty found in the world and the love that draws twin hearts together. Nurture what is beautiful in life, and let beauty's rapturous glow enliven and brighten the lives of those around you. The greatest joy is the rapture of newfound love and the tide of romance that sweeps over those wrapped in its embrace. Find love wherever it takes root, and bring it to its fullest bloom so that all may share in the joy and beauty it creates. Always give shelter and succor to young lovers, for their hearts are the truest guides to life's proper course."
Class: Devoted Cleric

Weapons: Holy Symbol of Sune.
Animals: Black leopard by the name of Lome (Dusk).

Appearance: Soft coppery skin. Hair is long and wild looking, more often being groomed by her companion than herself, appears to be auburn without any direct light, but under a light source – particularly the sun – it takes on more of a fiery complexion. Her holy symbol is always close at hand on her hip, partially concealed beneath a shifting cloak.

Personality: By heritage she can be a bit sporadic, often finding herself doing what she was thinking without thinking it through. Tends to remain quiet, but is not afraid to make her opinion known to those around her. Some question her sanity at times though, due to her sometimes seemingly random behavior and the fact she is always faintly smiling, as if knowing something you do not; even in the heat of battle.

In battle, she utilizes her weapons and magic more to heal and boost her allies than to subdue and harm her opponents. She just cannot help herself, death is not pretty.

History: Daenera grew up as any wood elf lass in the High Forest, though unlike the other children, she concerned herself more with honing her mental and spiritual abilities than her physical ones. Her mother, believing her to be blessed by Angharradh herself, called her, her little Avra'ess or Light bringer and it just stuck with her. Dae always felt drawn to all the lore she could on the Goddess Hanali Celanil or Sune, one of the three aspects of Angharradh, and would often be seen with her nose in one scroll or another.
More often than not she found herself alone, even alienated, by the other children. Yet she was always there to help anyone in a sticky situation with her trusty handmade bandages and her soft words and ready smile. Just out of childhood, she was taken by a strong wanderlust, overcome by her desire to learn more than what her small village could offer. She now walks the world with her trusty companion, Lome, in hopes to share her love and passion for lore and knowledge and gain a better understand of herself and the world around her.
Healing the world one *hug* at a time!

House Dae'Vesh

. . . . .House Dae'Vesh is an old Drow House that has no actual claim to any Drow City, being considered a renegade Drow House by those who dwell in the Underdark, specifically the Northdark regions and in and around Menzoberranzan City. The House is based within the New Neverwinter City and is made up of good natured surface-dwelling drow who are all related to the current and founding Matron Mother.

. . . . .In (working date) DR, House Dae'Vesh was founded by Myradaxx, one of three magically created clones of the fabled, "Menzoberra the Kinless." Only one of the thee Menzoberra Sisters still walks the lands of Faerun, her name is Myradaxx Faerl Menzoberra Dae'Vesh. She has taken on a new Consort, Patron Zeryn who is the father of two of her daughters, Alhrasha and Eshlara and through them has a handful of grand-children that make up the bulk of the surviving House living in Neverwinter City. The Matron of the House has admitted to having given birth to over forty children during her long life, prior to her Marriage to Lord Zeryn, the fate of them all is uncertain however.

-3905 DR / 5,384 years as of 1479 DR

Character Biography
mychars_daxx002.jpg
. . . . .Myradaxx is a tall and slender drow cleric of obsidian black skin, radiant silver-white hair that flows in 5-foot long tresses and solid misty-blue eyes that glow dimly in darkness. Her skin reflects and shimmers a darkened silver in moonlight. She often wears her hair down, flowing about her body almost as if with a life of its own, seemingly moving in a breeze even when there is none. While adventuring, Myra is often seen wearing elven chain mail and over-clothes of blue and green hues and wears a dual holy-symbol around her neck, depicting her fealty to two dead goddesses, Eilistrasee and Mystra. Other times, she can be seen wearing attire that is more typical of the scantily clad-priestesses of Eilistrasee (depiction). Unlike her Underdark counterparts, Myra is good-natured and purveys as sense of mirthful seduction and often tells playful jokes.

. . . . .Myradaxx, along with her sisters, is not a direct-born descendant of the fabled Menzoberra the Kinless and does not bear any signs of her great age. The Menzoberra sisters were created by a vile drow necromancer who wished to bring back the Menzoberra House line as a weapon to use against House Baenre. When Menzoberra the Kinless was slain by House Baenre, to seize power and control over the newly founded Menzoberranzan, several parts of the drow noble's remains were preserved and kept in secret. They were then later used, in -3905 DR, to create three magical clones of Menzoberra. Unknown to the wizard, the goddess Eilistrasee saw this and stepped in, with the aid of her long-time ally Mystryl, the Goddess of Magic.

. . . . .The two goddesses twisted the necromantic magics used and the result was triplet sisters bearing a likeness of their "mother," Menzoberra the Kinless, but were not exact clones and were, in essence more of offspring by the deceased drow priestess. Soon after their creation, the three Menzoberra sisters were stolen and placed into a magical stasis by an Aasimar servant of Mystryl. For over three-thousand years, the three sisters remained hidden deep underground in a warded cavern until the time known as "Karsus' Folly," in -339 DR. Upon the casting of the Karsus Avatar spell and subsequent death and rebirth of Mystryl into Mystra, the magical stasis and wards protecting the Menzoberra Sisters was broken and they were returned to consciousness. Directed by an avatar of the goddess Eilistrasee, they were lead to the surface where they each went their separate ways.

. . . . .While Dellonadaxx, the first of the three sisters to be created, disappeared from the Realms, Jyradaxx traveled to Evermeet where she assumed the guise of a Moon Elf and lived there for the rest of her life, until her death when the Isle of Evermeet was destroyed during the Spellplague. As her sisters left and disappeared from history, Myradaxx traveled the surface of Faerun and surrounding lands, learning the ways of the elven and human cultures surviving with her rogue talents, never staying for more than a few decades in one place. It would not be until the Time of the Troubles that she would devote the rest of her life as a Priestess of Eilistrasee and Mystra.

. . . . .Soon after the elevation of Midnight into Mystra, Eilistrasee secretly lead Myra to the hidden entrance to a place known as The Promenade -- a secret underground complex lead by the High Priestess Qilue Veladorn. There she studied under the guidance of Qilue, renounced her rouge training, and followed in her mentor's footsteps, taking clerical vows to both the new Mystra and Eilistrasee a-like. When Qilue Veladorn and her goddess Eilistrasee was slain by Halisstra Melarn in 1379 DR, Myradaxx reappeared on the Surface and began traveling the Realms again and survived the coming Spellplague in 1385 DR within the City of Waterdeep.

. . . . .Myradaxx then secretly followed Lord Neverember's army to the ruins of Neverwinter and helped liberate the lands in her own secret ways and aided in the rebuilding. Ever since, she has called the city her home and to this day she strives fighting for equality and safety of the Sword Coast, still following the ways of her fallen Goddesses. Over the course of the following decades, most of her surviving offspring of House Dae'Vesh have taken up residence within Neverwinter, making it the official home for the Selunite Drow House.

Character Biography

. . . . .Once a priestess of Eilistrasee, Eshlara had given up the clergy life with the death of her former goddess. Since, she has been living as a ranger in service of the god Silvanus.

. . . . .Being the oldest living daughter of Myradaxx, the Matron Mother of House Dae'Vesh, this made Eshlare the Elder Matron of the House, which is the heir to the Matron Mother throne and position of the House. This never sat well with Eshlare, always being aloof and wanting to travel and see the world. The last thing she wanted was to be housed up in some "stinky and ruined city," as she calls it. When she married and bore three children to please her mother, she used this as a means to escape the trappings of Drow Nobility.

. . . . .When her oldest daughter came of age, Eshlara renounced her claim as Matron Mother, in effect passing the line of succession on to her daughter, Veshlare. It is unknown if Eshlara's younger sister aspired to the position, but she has made no attempt at claim and in Eshlara's absence, has taken on teaching Veshlare of the responsibility her new title holds. Soon after the formal ceremonies of succession, Eshlara left Neverwinter City and has not been heard of since.

Alias(es):

Race: Drow
Gender: Female

Date of Birth/Age: 1352 DR
Hairsyle & Color: Shoulder length white hair
Eyes: Red
Skin Tone: Bluish Black
Height: 4'6''
Weight: 114 lbs

Birthplace/Homeland: The Upper Northdark. City of Menzoberranzan
Relatives: House of Oblodra.

Description: Balynrae is a fairly attractive Drow who is commonly seen displaying a mischievous smile. Unlike most female Drow, her temperament is usually warm and veritably welcoming and she carries herself with little more arrogance than would a lesser human noble.

Background/Biography: At the young age of 6, during the fall of the House of Oblodra, Balynrae was torn from her family and placed under the protection of the mercenary group Bregan D'aerthe who, at the time, was led by her dispassionate father, Kimmuriel Oblodra. She spent the majority of her years above ground - living a fairly normal life while under the tutelage of her wizardly mentors and mercenary companions.

She knows very little of her father who was always wrapped up in his work. However, his disdain for female Drow ensured Balynrae would grow up lacking the massive ego of most other Drow females in the Underdark.

While adventuring Joss remains enclosed in the sacred armor of his faith support his average muscular form. The armor is oddly kept void of any holy symbols, or dignifying markings to show were his faith lies. His hair correct for the seasons, but is fond of it short in a way that almost always appears messy or unkempt. Three items are kept always close by his person, two large tomes that hang from his hips on chains, and the third being an old holy implement; the symbol being scraped off to deny any identification.

Background/Biography: Joshua Venture, was raised in a Nomadic family that called no one place home. During these early days Joss learned all that could be from his parents; how to survive in unlivable conditions, how to forage, hunt, farm. During the early season of his 16th summer Joss's family met dire circumstances. Having chosen old ruins to camp in, the ghosts and demons of this forgotten keep led to the demise of his parents and the separation of him from his siblings. Joss wandered for weeks alone in the wilderness until he was accepted into a chantry.

From a young age Joss showed great promise in abilities of the Cleric, not being as bold as a Paladin he seemed to have an unnatural ability to wield radiant power from the patron deity of the chantry, but swore he never felt the touch or sense of it. A few years after being given the titles of cleric he was trained to be an expert exorcist and was sent to slay ghosts, ghouls, demons, and all the foul things that seemed to escape from the abyssal plane and shadowfell. his memories of these days are mostly a blur, but the events that do stand out haunt him to this day. Joss's last affiliation with any one church was when he was tasked with slaying Lich who was said to have come into possession of the fabled Eye of Vecna. Gathering a party of stalwart adventures to aid him in the daunting quest, which was to be his last. Find the Lich held deep in a fortress, he and his comrades struck first. After what seemed like an eternity of conflict with the Lich and his minions they slayed the foul creature, but only after a curse was placed upon them. As they all laid dying in the lich's tomb, Joss felt himself slip past the veil. Standing the presence of a cloaked female he begged for the lives of the others, stating that it was entirely his fault that they had perished. A deal would be struck between Joss and this woman. She would return to life those who had fallen, but Joss would become her eternal champion, in life and undeath. With no hesitation he agreed and signed and unholy sacrament.

Joss died that day in the lich's tomb, but found himself walking alone on an deserted road just north of the city of Neverwinter. His power had been diminished and he appeared to be out of touch with the world. Its still unclear to him how long he was gone from the Prime, but he walks the world now and he is back for some
task that is not yet known to him.

Notes: Joss is an old character of mine from several other D&D campaigns. While he may not fall completely within traditional D&D lore I try to adjust him to fit into the correct settings. I just wish The Raven Queen was a deity to choose in character creation in NWO, as that is Joss's true deity.
