Since it was brought up I've liked a lot of things I've seen in DnD Next. A lot of things I didn't Like about 4e are going back to what I liked in 3.5 but there is still a lot of room for improvement.
Yes, hopefully by keeping reasonable caster-non caster balance and paying A LOT of attention on maneuver scaling. At this time the solution they found isn't satisfactory at all (reducing casting slots and spells dice scaling), but it's slowing becoming something i could even play. The monk isn't bad at all, for instance.

Well it's still in internal testing so let that feedback be known!
Well said Jade, I also played a Druid in EQ1. Quite possibly the best MMO character Ive played to date and Ive played a ton of MMO's. Druid Is also my Chosen PNP D&D class as well, though 3E and beyond kinda ruined them compared to 1E Advanced which is still my play prefrence for the game. I'm too old school to even think 4E is worth playing.. I am currently a rogue trickster, hope to see ya in game....Krycius
To add to the D&D NEXT part of this thread, I am currently playing with a group and as a player since 1980 I can say they are making a good attempt at getting back to the roots of D&D. I personally could not stomach any edition past 2nd and am still to this day a die hard Advanced D&D player.

I really enjoyed the ability to pop into which ever part of the world I felt like exploring and the first 15-30min of every game session of mine was happily shuttling guildies around to wherever they wanted to go. I really liked the freedom of the druid class, not to mention being able to turn myself into a tree and wolf on a whim and the ability to solo effectively.

This city promises death for the meek, glory for the bold, danger for all, and riches for Jade! Elven Trickster Rogue: Two-bladed elf, tons of stabby stabby and that sort of thing...
