I understand that it has been stated for which platforms NW is coming out, but would like to make a poll to especially check the potential of prospect linux users that want to play the game. Thanks in advance...
Windows 7. It might have been Linux if I hadn't gotten lazy. :P
Same here. Win 7 on current machine, maybe by release Linux on a new build.

Window's 7.
Most computer tech junkies rant about Windows...but I loath the Mac OS with a passion that burns like a thousand suns. As for Linux, I am surprised to see so many users on here. Personally I didn't dislike Linux but I didn't care for it either.
However a developer (not sure which sadly) already answered this question in another thread which is now archived.
At least at that time they were not going to directly support Mac (evil) or Linux but they absolutely are going to support WINE.

Q: Using WINE for NW
A: [CrypticCliff]
A bit of work has been done to ensure that our engine runs under WINE, but this isn't the kind of thing we officially support.
I recommend looking into the Star Trek Online and Champions Online threads related to running the game on Mac/Linux with WINE:
Q: Native client for Mac and/or -NIX?
[CrypticCliff]
A: Hi. We're using our Windows-only engine to make the game, but there has been some work to ensure it works under WINE. Check the Mac user thread for details, because it'll require a setup similar to the STO Linux/Mac players.

I'm an Ubuntu user at home and a programmer here at Cryptic, so I'll probably keep up with people trying to run under WINE also.
One server
We've been using a "single server" architecture at Cryptic for some time now. In fact, we've been doing this since Champions Online launched in 2009.
It has some pretty serious upsides. For instance:
If you and 6 buddies all want to play Neverwinter, you don't have to worry about which server to choose. You'll all be on the same server.
We find that this tends to be incredibly convenient for our players, and works very well from an operations standpoint as well.
Linux of course, it's starting to look like the future of gaming. Valve, Blizzard, Paradox and many other developers have stated that Windows 8 isn't the future and that all their future games will support Linux because they think it's the future. The Steam Box will run Linux (at least the Valve version). All information on this can be easily found with google, Phoronix is a site that has brought up these topics a couple of times (through interviews with actual CEO's, developers, etc, etc).

Game runs great on bootcamp ~ windows 7. A mac port would be great but this is why we have bootcamp.

2. Mac OS
The GW2 Cider client for MacOS works fine...would like to see the same on NWO, but will use Bootcamp otherwise.
Linux (linux mint 14 mate)
i have gotten wine to work with neverwinter however a native client would be nice even though the wine setup for neverwinter was relatively easy
Comments
1. Linux
However, if I ever get a new machine, it is going to be a Mac. I doubt this will happen for some years though.

I'll either bootcamp or use WINE (if it's supported well enough), but would 100% appreciate a Mac client for Neverwinter.
I hope they will Cider it, or announce a serious in-house port.
