Backstory and Lore?

As I am gearing up to play this game, I was wondering if there was one place in which all the lore and backstory for the game was consolidated? I've read a good bit of the novels but I wanted to make sure I am in the current time line in which the game will take place.

Thanks in advance,

Ezra

well, in general, most of the things are there in 4e pnp book of NW campaign guide. Though not everything but most relevant things.

*Agreed* Short of buying the 4E D&D Neverwinter book which is for tabletop gaming, I can't think of anything more specific.

Well as an avid 4e DM I have this book and all the other related material (HotF, HoS, FR books, etc) :)

I wouldn't recommend it for 'recent' information. It is not very updated for changes after 4e. Some of the lore I did write here, but its quite tiring listing everything down. It has spoilers though so beware.

I've had an interesting weekend going through some of the more recent R.A. Salvatore novels, rekindling my appetitie as it were for the series. As luck would have it, or more like poor planning, I finished Neverwinter sunday evening and because of my work schedule, I will have to wait until thursday to get started on Charon's Claw. Without spoiling the novels, I was really surprised at the turn that took place in this trilogy and the three prior books.

I'll have to look to see what other books are out there to read over the next few weeks, suggestions are more than welcomed.

(And no, I will not be building a Drow Ranger anytime in the near or long term future! I can only guess how many incarnations of Drizzit we will see when the game is released!)

    My Best,

IIRC, the game and campaign are based on the time "between" the novels Gauntlgrym and Neverwinter. So I will not read neverwinter before playing the game in case I spoil some fun.

Ouch! That really sucks! I sincerly doubt if I could put off on reading the books, I'm too much of a junkie when it comes to reading! My wife hates the fact that I can start a series on friday morning and have it done when work rolls around monday morning.

I promise not to post anything that would spoil the adventure for you!

No problem you can. But please use black fonts like this which I use on this non-spoiler so I can skip it :p
