ello,

a lil back ground,im no where near as D&D experianced as most of you but the game has always intrieged me. never realy got the chance to plat pnp as ive never known anyone that plays. i did pick up all the 3.5 books and attempt to run a game but the few friends i had with an interest couldnt seem to get along at the table.
ive played NWN1 extensively on 2 toons but only ever on SP mode, and barely dabbled in NWN2. i cut my teeth on mmos in EQOA and recently retired from eq2. ive tried playin that other D&D game but found the comunity very lacking in new player frendliness, probrably due to its age,and hope that wont be the case here.
i'll be a regular late night player, midnightish EST thru 6-8am EST.
i have never tried my had at RP but would be very interested in at as this is a D&D game after all,if they put in a RP server or if a decent RP community springs up,tho i only know a little D&D lore.mostly what ive picked up in novels as again ive never had the pleasure of accualy playing pnp.

Well met and welcome to Neverwinter!

Your post conveys is one of the neat things about Neverwinter Online in that it will not only appeal to people who have never played D&D or roleplayed but also to those who just don't have ready access to roleplaying paper and pencil campaigns.

In my case, it is going to allow me an avenue for getting all these small adventures that I have, which have never seen the light of day, into a game where thousands of other players will, hopefully, enjoy them. It will also allow me and one of my close friends the ability to play "D&D" together through the internet while we're both at our own houses.

Winter is coming (sorry, after Game of Thrones, I love saying those three words), which means that our winter PnP D&D sessions will also start back up again. Since NWO will be releasing in the winter months, I'll be in full D&D mode ready to get creative in the Foundry!

You will find that demons who lurk here are very eager to find new sacrifices... erm I mean recruits.... uh... I mean new players.

    Welcome!
*sounds of slurping are heard in the background with some unfamiliar chanting of 'one of us!'*

EDIT: I see the old mage already sharpening his fangs....

*the true blood fang clicking noise is briefly heard*

    Uh, what fangs?

*the mage whistles an unrecognizable tune and returns to his studies*
