Please take the time to read the other posts in the forum. If patiently done it is shown this is in Pre-Alpha and there are no Beta Key invites except winners at PAX east and those who ordered Torchlight II here. Also, this is the News section. Your topic (if applicable in the future) may be moved to the discussion section.

Been A Neverwinter Nights fan for so many years and ever since I heard of the mmo coming out, I have been waiting ages for this, it feels like, I don't even want to play any other mmos really lol. Seems like the public release for this game will never come.

Really looking forward to it, though I hope there'll be some sort of subscription-alternative (a la Lotro).
Always like Neverwinter (even play trough Baldur's Gate now and then) and if this game is pulled off nicely, I'll be one happy gamer.

The CB keys have not been mailed yet as per Stormshade.
*IF* you were lucky to get a physical copy of a beta key and enter that (or I guess a digitally mailed one if legally allowed,) you may enter it then will have a period to download the initial beta client, or may have to wait until a later period. If you don't immesiately get the download option, you may need to wait 24 hours and see if this download option changes, but if it doesn't that's it until your beta period starts.
However, even if you do download the client, unless you're in an active phase of the beta (and nobody here I believe is,) that's all that will currently happen, and you will (most likely) see a "coming soon" message from that download area afterwards.
All this is somewhat speculative and your entry results may vary, but more info can be read about here.
By the way, since there's already a post like this, a question to make sure I got it right when I heard it. Was at Gen Con on the friday of its weekend and when at DnD booth, neverwinter game employee said it was probably going to come out next year. Has anyone else been told that? Just checking that I didn't understand wrong.

As per multiple interviews in PR Newswire and Gamescom (before Gencon and the upcoming PAX this weekend at the time of this post,) the release of the game is early 2013, with beta sometime before that. More information compiles about the beta process can be read about in my Neverwinter New Users FAQ.
Actually, one day Cthulhu walked in their office to check on their progress in making games a couple of years ago. Since then even when they look at words, the words seem alien to them.

This is also known as the Cthulhu effect verry confusing and yet outstandingly interesting...but f***ing confusing.

We're all in that same boat. I hope to hear some more concrete plans next month if not actions, but I'm speculating as much as the next person at the time of this reply.

the thread title is an oxymoron, if you were waiting patiently it wouldnt exist.
Already discussed. Please don't necro old topics with negative answers, thank you.

A little known fact is most of these people become polliticians and do well due to their clear yet indecipherable answer to the question asked.
I know *sigh*
