Players who want to remove current scaling, should look to current Hell Pit event. That's what kind gameplay would be without scaling. No heal or tank requred, which lead hours of sitting in q just to try get once in any dungeon, and gameplay is more less AFK ( sleeping) combat. It's like these smartphone Idle games, where your as players presence is not required..

They made hell pit easier, because it's a SOLO event, and wasn't fair to paladins, clerics(not having a decent dps build). Using the generalization, that the entire game would be like that without scaling is hilarious. It used to be that you had to earn your way to Icewind dale, and be strong enough stat wise to enter. Instead, now, we have every zone accessible within 10 hours for a completely new player on new account. Just talk to Knox. Scaling doesn't fix that people are rushing to get to end game zones, without even knowing what skills they unlock at max lvl, or mechs of their class, a dodge, a stamina bar, potions(and difference between elixir, event food, and they can stack 1 of each). Basic game mechs and knowledge isn't fixed by scaling. Scaling just keeps it possible for people, that have no business being in an end game zone, showing up, and getting high IL gear with generic bonuses at best. When they go back to early zone...they still dont know mechs, and then it's harder, in easier zones, to do the same thing they were doing in endgame zones. Make the zones decently difficult, so people geared, and that know how to play their class, can have a challenge. Not every zone should be meant for new players, and making it that way, ruins WOD, and other zones, and doesn't fix the problem, they need to put time in to learn their toon before trying VOS, etc.
Unlike you new players, we old ones where there, before scaling got implemented.
Sure at first it's seems nice, you big tough one, comes and one shoting enemies. But thats remain fun for first 10 times, after that becomes mehh, and after another 20 times you get bored to point you don't want to play this game anymore.
So do you want that back??
Yes and no to be honest. Its a difficult one.
It was NICE to feel uber powerful and I spent 9 months hard work, time and effort to get to about 180k power on my Barbarian and to occasionally get top damage score etc So im fairly casual player but that took more than 500 hours and this was when you had to grind through campaigns etc. So yeah the boons took a long time to earn.
When I started NW it took me nearly 2 years to catch up with even close to end game [at about 10hours casual per week] so yes feeling very powerful was something that took time.
I never once saw a one-shot like in those YouTube clips but yes we used to melt Tiamat dragon heads in seconds.
I dont like scaling down, it feels un natural. Just make New content tougher....
And then players complain its too hard...
New players complain it's too hard. I miss zones like Icewind Dale being tough, and sometimes actually having to group with PEOPLE to make it passable with relative ease. I also liked that zone being halfway "strong" so you could gauge yourself and get an estimation of progress. That's now gone. Instead of having to unlock campaigns in order and a learning period, tactics in dungeons, mechs in trials, etc, they took away the time element to progress and made it instant, regardless of each zone supposed to be more difficlt. One option to combat that, is do like Hades and rock a 45k toon forever, so you have higher ratings and %'s, and the scaling doesn't effect you. If you actually get higher IL, which Hades is ok with not doing, you have to work to keep those %'s and in most cases, the %'s are lower, and you have higher base damage from the higher IL. But in scaled areas, you keep the formula that lowers your %'s, and then lose the base damage to a scaled total. That's why some say they have no issue in WOD, and some say they do. One person is 45k, and the other is 75k. One is ok with being 45k to justify and say the scaling is ok, the other wants to get stronger. The way the game is set up, avoid the lower areas once strong.
Edit: or make a loadout without collars/combat enchant/comp runestone to get back your %'s, lower your IL, and reduce the scale...that's why we all play, to do that.

I don't know where you did you get information that it got nerfed.
You want to know why scaling is bad for you and similar like players? I can easily explain that.
While you and others keep talking> stats this, stats that. It's seems you all forgot one crucial thing. That Neverwinter online is Action combat rpg mmo game. Each class have tools to counter/evade/block enemies hits. So instead eating hits, you can avoid of being hit.
So while your gameplay is just stats/gear benchmarking focused. That's does not mean all are restricted in same way..
Also you want back old system before scaling, so in short you want this back.
And it was end game content at that moment. That's what kind gameplay you want back??

Ok hades, hellpit is not easier this time. You're right, everyone else and patch notes are incorrect. And you don't keep your toon at 45k, to nullify the scale that people complain about. That's the issue, we shouldn't have to have another loadout, with it handicapped w/ low IL and things purposely taken off, to make a zone easier.

Agree with the Hellpit part, its deinitely a LOT easier than ever before. I have run all except ONE time when I couldnt even survive Round 1 of Day 1. Its so much easier now.
