I like the artwork and I stated, very long ago, I wanted to fight the ancient black dragon, Lorragauth, as a dracolich. I found the fight with Valindra in the Dread Ring was more like Dance Dance Revolution. While that appears to be a sizable ancient dragolich in the artwork, something tells me, I will be disappointed yet again.
Very often they end up with mediocre boss battles or one shot bosses who can wipe your team. The end result is always one extreme or the other. Then no one desires to play the trial with the broken mechanics and complain about the poor rewards. To this day, I have yet to finish the Tower of the Mad Mage (Halaster Blackcloak's Trial), I have viewed videos but the gear level was too high for me to attend back in 2019. If I did manage to get my gear level up to current specs, by now there is no one left in the game willing to play it. Everyone will be focused on this current trial, I can't possibly get the gear up to 45K or higher to enter.
Neverwinter is free to play, as long as you don't mind being locked out of content for several years.
I can't possibly get the gear up to 45K or higher to enter.
I have just recently made a set of 3 videos, where you can get to 50k Item level with a cost of about 8 mill AD. With partaking in events, getting some decent drops here and there you drastically reduce that cost. So getting to 45k Item Level, should not be a problem in a few months, for anyone!
Not that I recommend going into this new trial at that item level! You need either a good guild, to create groups, or find 9 other friends to run the trials with you! Stick together, be patient and learn!

So from what I have heard from those running the trial, you need 70k IL to meaningfully contribute.
That is either a couple of years farming or pull out your credit card. Things get expensive once you pass 50k
I am not against spending cash on games, currently I am working over 40 hours per week without overtime. That is why you should never agree to annual salary kids!
With so little "me time", I am not about to spend any money on what I deem to be a broken MMO with a highly dubious future. I did spend $10 for another slot to make a bard in the last module, then I played a bit, and that is about all the time and money I plan to invest or throw away at present.
@aragon#8379 you should link your videos? I may not have time to follow them but others might.
By the time I get the time, to sit down and play this out it will be just like the previously mentioned Mad Mage trial. AFAIK I am the only living person remaining in our guild, I don't put it on others to carry me through games. Neverwinter is an MMO you have to invest both time and money to pick up where you left off. Free? Yes and no, it is free to play until you want to play current end game content, then you are told, you will need new enchants, ten minions but you can only use one, five mounts with collars and insignias, and make sure you completed all the campaign and guild boons. By the time you have all that the next module changes the rules, "Oh, you have last years mount insignias! Is that blue grade armor you are wearing?". I gave up long ago trying to get ahead or even keep up with this game.
Now you can’t play Crown unless you have the bad of air. Dps getting kicked to the curb left and right. Also I enjoyed the caveat of “if you get lucky drops”. Lol The algorithm on some toons are so bad they never get lucky drops.

Just killing time...

With links to the other parts in the description.
Part 4 is still work in progress.
