Shadar-kai witch companion - campaign currency bonus not always awarded

Thought I was going mad but this companion's perk "sense through the shadowfell" is not always rewarding the 10% currency bonus. I can't distinguish why, if it's outright bugged or if it's quest related but it literally works sometimes then others not.

    It's giving the secondary currency on everything but the progression currency only on weekly quests.

    Appreciated, my will for testing bugs thoroughly has been depleted.

    So yeh, there we go, another zen shop item not working or being mis-sold
