First of all….im absolutely not interested in farming some BIS Gear Stuff anymore….as long as this system like we do have right now exists in the way it exists. Ive been hearing from guild mates that they re farming VOS like crazy and just don’t get the rings they want or need.
Same with Sharandar Bountys and so on. (I was “lucky” enough to get 2 +3 pieces from the bountys…. yaaay lmao - the most time im camping around, going to have a smoke and Xuna takes care of the rest)
Why do you keep punishing people like this?
When i heard about Chris Whitesides arrival back in the days i was very hyped cause i left NW for more than 3 years and explored the world of Tyria in Guild Wars 2. I stopped playing due to personal reasons and got back to NW as im suffering from the Stockhold Syndrom (Joke aside – the Guild Discord Community here is just awesome as well
I really thought we could have some new fresh ideas/impact with Whiteside especially within the RNG Section of this game. In Guild Wars 2 you have a lot of trade in vendors, for a lot of stuff and i really really liked that. So after farming/grinding you were able to just trade stuff for getting stuff you really needed/wanted.
This means… you were able to have a goal in mind….not like in Neverwinter where almost everything is based on RNG…
I mean…..i dont think its funny to run a dungeon like VOS 300 Times without getting the ring you really want. Sure…nobody forces you but this would be a very lame excuse for a very lame game design.
Like i said..i don’t care for myself….but i care for the people and i know that its not rocket science to implement such trade in vendors. I could even live with another chance (even its RNG based) for getting what you want.
If you don’t wanna bring up a trade in vendor like for example:
-----Put 3 legendary Rings or 2+ Companion Items together and forge something new. So you get another legendary ring or having a chance to upgrade the 3 +2 Companion Items to a +3 Item and if you re lucky enough “Heureka” just another chance for the people. But to leave it in the way as it is? Oh come on guys….are you serious?------
Just stuff like that… (Genshin Impact did this for example with another chance to drop the desired artifacts) i could live with that but letting people run like idiots based on a absolute hideous system just to keep the "dungeon frequentation alive…is kinda obsolete and just merely a bad and flawed and totally CHEAP game design.

was just thinking about a way to improve your rewards progressively based on your effort and bringing at the end of everything the opening of a special chest with the best loot being acquired after X attempts. in the case of VoS, considering that the best prize is the legendary rings, this same system I suggested can work the drop rate increase progressively and in the special chest at the end bring a choice pack of VoS rings, and if at the end of all this sounds too easy, just divide the rings into 3 or 4 categories and put them in different choice packs, for example:
20 Conclusions for the special chest that can come from one of the choice packs at random. Notice how there is still a lot of RNG involved but with a slight reduction when filling the progress bar (and in this case I'm not referring to that bar that they added that I thought was pretty middle ground) but the individual DG progress bar, which increases your drop general rate (not just exclusive items), and also guarantees you a good loot in the final special chest. so there are several RNG reduction beds that make the players feel that they are doing something productive even though the RNG is still there in a more controlled way.
My ideas are a little crazy and sometimes totally out of line with what would be ideal, but there is a lot of material to adapt good things for the game, based on my suggestions.
