Companion Item Level Won't Rise Above 300

I created a new tank alt and tried to raise my Songstress companion to Mythic quality. I did but the item level remained at 300. I checked on my dps main and all her companions that are at Mythic quality are at 750 item level. I presume that this is a glitch and wanted to see if anybody else is having this problem.

I am having the same problem with my Songstress at 300 and the other Bard Pet out of the Pack.
