This patch does nothing... This entire update entirely ruined the game for new players. Tried a lvl 25 quest cleanup with a lvl 55 toon and getting my HAMSTER kicked. My greater healing pots are healing almost nothing. Single trash Mob hits are clearing away a third of my hp per hit. And my hits do little tiny dents to trash mob hp.
What are you guys / devs/ management thinking ? "Too many players on neverwinter, so let's chase away all the new players ?"
Well, if so, mission accomplished. I'll check back in a week, but in it's current state the game is unplayable and unenjoyable. You guys really need to allow some sort of overlevel bonus perks to carry through for weaker builds / new players / solo play to be able to enjoy.
Not everyone want Reaper level difficulty, some come to play just some casual questing and gameplay. Your update has killed that. :-(
Jim and Omin Maintenance Task just kick my behind - 45K Paladin. This task is a simple walk through for me for YEARS. Just went through a couple other instances, and got my behind kicked. I'm almost ready to ask for refund on Primo that I've paid for and trash the game. It's NOT FUN. Fells. like I've gone from an advanced 80lvl character to a beginning level. My character was trashed in this move. I am frustrated, displeased, and ready to dump the game forever. This release was poorly executed and deployed for a money grab. Whoever pushed it through should be reprimanded or fired. This was not well tested, and the leveling was NOT done in every module. To only fix it as people complain is not how to run a business.
I have an idea about this combat rework. Today I logged in to see with this concept and I am not as disappointed as most users. I think that enchantments, runestones and insignias should contribute to the other contributions, cause all without these i still can reach 50%. I found that boons, companion slots and consumables count in other contributions and as far as I am concerned with this advice the character building could be more exciting.
@nitocris83 The improvements you made are just a drop in the bucket and seemed to do little. An extreme example of the types of issues players are having can be located in the Batiri Shaman in Soshenstar, which seem to have better damage mitigation than is possible. I brought my 51k barbarian to test. With 70% accuracy I recorded a pre-mitigated 470k Bloodletter that was reduced to 22k dmg total, close to a 95% damage reduction. Please take a serious look at creatures, don't just "reduce their item level".
:After nearly 8 years abstinence (I played this game extensively in Beta) I jumped numerous hurdles to reactivate my account, apart from the Dragon class that I had paid for being unavailable, most of the game appeared to work ok. Over 7 days I levelled my Warlock to 74 and then came the combat patch; now there have been 2 more patches, 1 to address chat and the other to reduce the item level of trash etc. TBH it's not enough that instead of death by 3 mobs, it's now 4. Doing "the sea of moving ice" and returning to the camp fire almost every fight is in no way (that I can see) a fix for what is still fundamentally broken. I have followed the 6 (six) pages of other people's woes pre the latest patch and am wishing that I had not wasted a week of my life enjoying a game that can no longer be enjoyed. Constant death is why I avoid "shooter" style games as I prefer SOLO content, Neverwinter will no longer be my go to as the frustration of death without progress does not appeal, back to ESO & WoW then which I wanted to escape from. I'll give it 7 days; if it's still the same I will delete my account and I would recommend others to do likewise. It appears that the bottom line is what counts, so I will remove your access to mine.
Overlord of Red Dragon remains with Armor Penetration. CN undead's in the sphere hall has more HP and damage than Orcus the last Boss.
Yeah... Those undead need to be looked at... Even when they don't have combat advantage, they are oneshotting people (again).
IMO, not acceptable that a SINGLE trash mob is able to one shot people who are 45k+ running this dungeon.
They need a complete tune down. Their health and outgoing damage needs to be reduced. I don't expect to be able to kill them in one shot, but I do expect to be able to kill them before they fill that red bar, and not have them one shot me.
