Two bugs in Shard of Night (Module "Shroud of Souls")

There are two bugs in the Shard of Night.

Bug 1:
After entering the Shard of Night you will encounter two shadows at the beginning. Both of them will - as usual - attack you from invisibility and use some grabbing power to stun you. However, there is no chance to break free from this grabbing power. They will choke you until you are dead. And there is also no chance to deflect this grabbing power, no shifting, no shield, nothing can deflect it.

Bug 2:
After the first one attacked and killed you, he stays visible and you will re-spawn at the campfire at the entrance. You can go now and kill the first shadow (since it is now visible) before it applies its grabbing attack. However, after the second shadow attacked and killed you - which is inevitable - you will re-spawn at a campfire in some sort of basement. Since the tower is reused from the Razzad quest, I gues it is the basement from that quest, too. The problem is, there is no way to leave this basement again. If you have VIP you can leave, but when you re-enter the Shard of Night, the shadows will be invisible again and the whole thing starts over. I have no idea how non-VIPs can escape the basement btw.

The only solution at the moment is to enter the Shard of Night wil at least two people.

This is not a bug and it can be done solo. Requires you to switch out your augment companion for a useful attack type companion to do it though. I have completed it solo 4x with 3 different toons using these ones:

epic Xuna, epic Honey Badger, epic Makos and an uncommon Pewter Golem.

all of it was done post-mod 16 as I did not start the river district on any of my toons until after that and all runestones were rank 9 or less (minimum rank of 7) at the time.

Only because there are two workarounds doesn't mean it is not a bug. Especially the basement part is a bug. And I bet the unbreakable shadow power is at least not wai.

Having an active comp instead of an augment isn't a workaround. The other option is to have another player.

The only real bug is waking up in the basement.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

The Shadow mobs from Tomb of the Nine Gods and Lair of the Mad Mage are designed to force parties to cooperate and save each other. The fact that they were substituted for the standard Shadow mons for solo instances, is clearly a bug. Solo instances should not include party checks.

The fact that the basement campfire is enabled is clearly also a bug, as the exit was removed when the map got repurposed.

The fact that something can even be referred to as a workaround is fairly clear indication that it is bugged.

basement campfire respawn needs to be fixed, as a leg Xuna does not always kill the shadows before they kill you, particularly the second one.

I've passed this information on for investigation.

It would be great to see a fix. For what it's worth, I reported this via the in-game system a long time ago.
