I main an end game warlock and the warlock is in a much better place for both Hellbringer and Soulweaver. I topped both paingiver and executioner most of the day yesterday with Hellbringer in scaled and non scaled content. Did not run LoMM or ToMM yet tho. Also my Soulweaver build consistently topped the medic charts in random Que’s. I had fun playing my warlock all day yesterday and even carried a few groups through Epic Spider and SoT. What ever they did they improved my warlocks DPS by at least 40% I would guess... maybe more. my 26.5k warlock out DPSed a 25.5K wizards and even if I missed rank 1 in paingiver, I was right by the leader every time. My unbuffed stats are about 170k power, 125k combat advantage and everything else is about 76k, except deflect which is about 56k. Very very happy with the changes to warlock...Very happy!!!

Keep rejoicing
Such a gap in the amount of damage is not normal.
The only significant increase has been to curse bite so yes, AoE damage is noticeably better IF you use curse bite, but it doesn't even come close to closing the gap with the top 3 for boss damage.
Any class can be top of pain giver charts, since all that is an indicator of really is who got to the trash mobs first or who is the better player or who has the better gear, or quite frankly, who isn't being lazy as HAMSTER because its temple of the spider and no one cares if they slack.
As for not being broken... really? there are still loads of issues with the warlock with powers not working correctly or class mechanics breaking, just because they may not effect you personally, doesn't mean they are not there.
So ye again, its great you personally are having fun, but your "Feelies" are not a good indicator to how the class is performing as a whole, nor does it strike me that you read or understood the changes that were actually made or looked at the documentation or evidence as to what that changes actually mean in reality.
> What ever they did they improved my warlocks DPS by at least 40% I would guess...
Be careful with what you say maybe someone will believe that HAMSTER. Not even the rough numbers fit in an increase, much less 40%. Either you are trolling or you were playing with your elbows before
What in Heaven's name are you talking about? ©
Soulweaver if you encouter any decent cleric i would like to see how you top the chart without sweating your HAMSTER up and him HAMSTER up
You managed to outdps people with Hellbringer congrats!! i do that too sometimes ...
Looking at the chart at the end of a scalled dungeon/ skirmish technically i've also outdps 24/25k+ IL people as a soulweaver, does that mean that we have a broken class or that maybe, just maybe some people are just lazy or don't know wtf they are doing because they pulled out their credit card to achive said ''item level''?
As for specific issues that need to be addressed by Cryptic, there are a lot of threads all ready out there for those topics.
• "I felt my DPS was higher" but ran no tests
• "40% increase based on my gut feeling" but I didn't run an actual test, it just felt like 40%
• "I crushed some randoms" but who knows if they were any good
I can also make some bad assumptions based on my gut feelings.
Let's see, I ran a LoMM about a week or 2 ago and based on that LoMM I can make the following declarations.
• "I was on my Justicar Pally and came in 2nd place, barely, on paingiver" but I'll ignore the rest of the pug group sucked
• "Justicar pally must have had a 300% dps increase" based on, ya know, my gut feeling
• "Top ranking DPS classes are now, in order, Ranger, Pally, Cleric, and everyone else sucks" because this pug run is now scientific evidence that Pally DPS is tooooooo OP
• "Devs must nerf Pally DPS because I was almost in first place" and this test was 100% reliable since I was running with 3 randoms (yeah I knew the cleric too and she's not specced to do any damage whatsoever but came in 3rd....so while we're at let's nerf these OP clerics doing too much damage)
Now, I believe you came in first on your warlock in a run. I've played this game long enough to know there's a lot more bad players than good (especially after they ran off a good deal of long timers). But that's about the only thing you can say with any certainty. You beat some randoms. Everything else is just a soundbite.
Therefore, do not annoy other warlocks with your meaningless reviews that are not true
“3 weeks of discussion. Not a single comment from developers. Half a year without correcting the balance of classes. Yesterday I deleted my warlock, whom I played for 1.5 years. Tens of epic pets, artifacts, millions of spent AD. Continue to believe …
in Class balance yet again.” Comment by kirieshka#8532 September 26
Clearly you were annoyed long before my feedback post lol, and you calling it a review doesn’t make it a review, it’s still feedback. And as to your request to remain silent, just no.
@poisd2strike#7598 I’m not trying to be very technical in the feedback I was trying to deliver to the game maker, I am more or less conveying that I have more fun playing my warlock sense the change, as to your inquiry, what I mean is I am improved in places like Ravenloft and PvP and other non scaled areas. I have played LoMM sense I posted this thread and although I personally never had a problem running it, my runs there are also improved.
I am not implying nor should it be inferred that the warlock is perfect and should not be improved. What I am saying is I am happy with this latest change to my warlock and my warlock has improved and the employee or employees who made this change, (in my view) took a step in the right direction. It is quite possible the change was neutral or detrimental to other players warlock builds. I believe the comments that are made by players who claim their warlock toons preform poorly. I support their arguments to the game maker to keep improving the warlock because as their warlocks improve, mine will most likely improve as well.
The only issue I, and others, are pointing out is that you're supplying information from inside a silo. It has no bearing on anything other than you felt good and you beat some pugs on paingiver and your damage was higher than these unknown players.
So, yes, good that you're enjoying the class. Doesn't change the fact that you're making statements based on feelings versus data. If you're going to throw numbers around you're going to have people question how you can make the claims without actually running tests.

You are vastly incorrect. Although our magnitude in powers were increased, the innate 25% dmg our power did was removed. The devs need to add the dmg % to help us compete DPS wise with other classes. Right now, Wiz is dps King, then TR, HR, Cleric/Barb, and then Us. Don't go by iLvl alone.... It means nothing. Compare gear for gear, companions, artifacts, powers, and modifiers..... I am an end game lock... One of the highest lock dpsers in Xbox, yet I cannot touch a mediocre wiz/TR/HR in ToMm or Lomm in DPS...
They are three things to address: spell casting timing, mechanics (solo dmg boss) and dmg % increase.
