Several times the the past two weeks I have killed the last boss but died due to the adds. When I click 2 and resurrect at the campfire, I am sent to the Campfire near the entrance to the instance rather than the campfire just outside the entry to the last boss chamber. WHY? Sure would make sense to have someone killed in the Boss area respawn near the Boss area. Especially in instances where mounts are not premitted - makes for a long, time consuming walk.
There is another quest/dungeon in the WoD that has the same problem (not Cult Prison). Please check the code on all the mini-dungeon quests there to verify that the destination when dying is the closest campfire. Please :-)
I've corrected the title to 'Infernal' rather than 'Internal' to avoid confusion.
The problem seems to be in the use of a 'standard' re-spawn message that I believe was designed for multi-player dungeon use. As always, when you die, you are given a timer and a choice to use scrolls to resurrect or to ask for help. Since there is nobody there to help (ah that companions were more useful), either you use a scroll or you are stuck with option 2, re-spawn at a campfire. When you select option 2 it *clearly* asks you 'Do you want to do this?' a rather rhetorical question since there are no other options available after the 'near-death' timer reaches 0. It further states that if you click on option 2 you will be returned to your last spawn location. In any private dungeon instance that would be the start of the instance, at the entrance door.
When I am doing group dungeons (eg. Caves of Karrundax) death sends you to the nearest campfire, often ahead of where you just died (for those moments when the party raced ahead to the final boss and left you to fend for yourself). That is what is expected by me when doing the Well of Dragon (or any of the Common Cause mini-dungeons like Barrow Demolition) and I die along the way.
The problem highlighted here is especially annoying because mounts are not allowed in the WoD mini-dungeons. Otherwise it would be just a short trip to the end to get the reward instead of the 3 minute hike.
I suspect this issue is a product of 'old standards' when WoD was created vs 'new standards' implemented at some later time. Consistency is the hoped for solution. Thanks!
