Companion roster buttons not displaying

Interesting bug, Of 7 characters on one acct, one character will not display the companion roster buttons on the companions dialog box.
Interestingly the buttons display on all other characters.
At first there was a green box explaining what the roster was for and to open it to continue, that has now dissapeared but still no buttons.
I have tried a variety of suggestons including
reloging
verify files
try game on another computer
adding a new companion
summoning each companion
all to no avail.
Has anyone else had this issue as ARC's only response has been to try summoning another companion which does not solve.
As i said an interesting and i must say annoying bug as it restricts the usefullness of the companions and does not allow me to use the full functionality of them .
