Free Umbraxadar

After subduing that dragon, I talked to Celeste and she opened a portal, I took it but then found out I also needed to "free Umbraxadar" I couldnt go back to his lair, so eventually I abandoned the quest hoping to start all over, but now Celeste and others are gone from Vanrakdoom.

How do I finish the campain now?
