Remorhaz

During a Master Expedition quest when battling the Remorhaz when it goes tunneling it returns at full health. The only way to beat it would be to kill it before it goes tunneling, which for my 17k+ Ranger is literally impossible. I'm assuming this is a bug. I ran the expedition twice today and this happened both times.
