Ping merge floating thing

So I am having this problem, when i am in the middle of doing my quest for example the "cauldron quest" in barovia, there this little pink glowing thing coming out of nowhere I tried to click on the cauldron so many times but sometimes the merge it keeps floating in my way is there a way to get rid of it?
