So as I played through the game this week and compared what we have now to what is coming in mod 16, I found myself laughing at a number of things I saw in game and on the various chat channels in game. Please feel free to add to this list ...
Top Ten Signs Mod 16 is Overdue:
1) You see people asking for 18K + on LFG .... for a random ADVANCED queue run.
2) You realize the new meta is "GWF + 4 Buffers".
3) You realize nobody wants your 18K TR no matter how much damage you do/don't do.
4) People have stopped advertising for "TONG Only" Groups for the Expert Queue.
5) Your friend who plays cleric has trouble remembering the name of a healing spell "Bastille of ... something?"
6) You are glad your 10K Paladin can still solo a CTA in less than 3 minutes .... because the other 4 in the queue never leave the fire.
7) Most of the game has forgotten there is more than one type of PvP queue.
8) You have run the Acquisition Incorporated missions so many times you recite Omin's lines in your sleep.
9) Your party's buff bar is so long you have trouble seeing what you are fighting.
10) You cannot decide if it is worth the effort to press the "Claim your prize" button because this month's Twitch give-away is ONLY an epic mount and a rank 13 enchant.

My OP solo queued all runs for exhalted weapons (nobody wants a 12/13K OP in their pre-made, and by the time I hit 14K in the last two weeks, I didn't bother looking for pre-made). If mod 16 continued the status quo, most scrubs would have exhalted weapons.
I'll be a lot happier if M16 delivers less 1-shot boss wipes like it's been said.
Cleric: You can be an angel of mercy or give in to hate. - Shinedown
Wizard: The more the dark consumes me, I pretend I'm burning bright. - Shinedown
Barbarian: Am I beautiful... as I tear you to pieces? - In This Moment
The only reason for Mod 16 is that economically the game on PC is probably showing low profits. No company would invest so much time and effort in a new module unless things were seriously wrong money wise.
And I'd imagine the mod 16 announcement made it worst because it removed the crown seal incentive for people to run REQ. I stopped running REQ on a daily basis once I saw the announcement. Even though my wait time is instant or very short because I have DC and OP, I see no need to put up with REQ just for RAD when doing RLQ/RIQ/RAQ gets me to 100K RAD most days.
I peridocially check old campaign areas [yes obviously they will be quieter now] Protectors Enclave, newer Campaign areas [Barovia for example] and other places for numbers of instances and player numbers. Seems to me like the number of instances and players is very low. Very much conjecture, agreed, but it *feels* like so many less players.
And mod 16 was a bit more massive/serious/nerfing/changing than normal mod announcements.
