Lycan Boots of the pack bug

Lycan boots of the pack don't give their bonus when used with any augment companion. For example ,I've used them with both an ioun stone and an owlbear cub and they didn't give me any defence or power bonus, no matter how close or far away i was from my companion. All in all they don't work with any augment companions, even with those who don't have a fixed distance from the player. By fixed distance i'm referring to ioun stones which always revolve around the players head.
