What now after reaching lvl 70?

Hi all,

I am absolutely new to this game, since 3 weeks back, and now I have reached lvl 70 on my Great Sword fighter. The problem is that I'm not getting any quests under lvl 70 anymore, and doing those new lvl 70 quests, then I'm dead after a few min in the zone.

Now my question is: what am I supposed to do to better survive?
I know that my gear is not good and possibly all points spent in character window must be reset and put in again to do more damage or whatever.

I'm in a Guild yes, and I get some help there to, but it would be nice to also get suggestions here.

So please, tell me what I have to do to be able to play those higher lvl's.

Thank you

This should be a good place to start. I'd recommend doing the Barovian introduction quest. If you're unable to solo it, have a guildie help you. It gives you a full set of decent starter gear.

Did you do all the campaign you are supposed to do? i.e. Did you do all the level 60 campaigns to get their boons?
i.e. Maze engine, Elemental Evil, Sharandar, .....

GWF is extremely feat and rotation dependent. It is likely that you didn't pick the very narrow range of feats for a good build, as as you suspect, a respec may be in order. The good news is that you have 2 options to do this for free. The first is buying a respec token from Sybella in the Hall of Justice Vaults, from the Benign Eye campaign. Alternately, if you didn't do anything with it already, the free loadout you got at level 30 can be set to a different spec and used as your main spec.

Search Wicked Duck MMOminds and you should turn up the guide you need to be an effective GWF.

As far as doing the level 70 content. The first thing you should do is (as mentioned above) go to Barovia and get your free gear. Talk to Lord Neverember and take the Unwelcome Guests quest. That will take you to Barovia. There is some fighting but the enemies aren't that tough and if all else fails, hang back and let the NPCs kill them. Get your free gear and then turn your back on Barovia for awhile. The regular mobs will be too much for you. But open the Vistani chest and you'll get some very useful starter gear.

As far as what to do after that, Elemental Evil if you haven't done it already gives you some boons. Start Sharandar, and try out Dread Ring, Maze Engine and Tyranny of Dragons, some of which may be more challenging, especially don't try and go to Well of Dragons until you are experienced or have a friend to run with.

    Hope that helps.

I'll begin with thank you all for good advice, as of now I did the "Unwelcome Guest" quest and got my first real gear, weapon and other good stuff from Esmeralda in Barovia.
And I can only say WOW, what a change in dps it's like the difference between day and night, what a change.
But the thing is that I play a female Great Sword fighter and the gear I got is rather strange, I had good laugh but it's effective.

Now I can do more of those lvl 70 quests thanks to you all.
    Thank you.

At level 70 your goal is to improve your character through gearing up and getting the campaign boons.

You should start doing the campaigns now. Do them in the order they are listed in the campaigns window, that way you get the easiest ones first, some of the last ones can be though unless you already are geared/booned up a little.

Kill stuff and loot the bodies.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

I will also add that at level 70 it might also be a rather good idea to start ranking up enchants that your class / build would need to not only get your item level up but will also improve your over all stats and make most areas alot easier for you to quest in. This step should never be over looked. Enchants are a very important part of your toon. I also will suggest working the EE and Shara camps to get the boons from those. Then do Maze Engine and Dread Ring as those areas are a bit easier.

Thank you all for your input and good advice.
I'll look at those areas mentioned above and try to figure out what to do.
I was trying to put a picture of my character in my earlier post, in her rather strange looking gear but I have no idea how to do it.

    Thank you all again.

A little side note here, because it seems to be of some concern to you:
You can change the appearance of your armor and weapons, even using 'Fashion Items' to cover them entirely. Converting appearance of items usually costs A.D., but some items, including the special reward items for the Elemental Evil Campaign, offer free appearance changes, so you can alter that 'funny looking' stuff to something more to your liking.
    Hope this helps.

You can press Print Screen button and paste it on some image hosting site like Imgur. And use the insert picture option to put it here. ^^

The Vistani armor appearance is the same for all classes. It just looks like that regardless of whether it is cloth or plate.
