Paladin offhand transmute

So every now and then I hear this rumor that there is a pally offhand transmute that makes your shield disappear. Is this true? And if it is, what is it, and where do I get it?

    Yes its true. The Orcish Companion's Icon from the stronghold HEs is what I have my offhand transmuted to @rubytrue. I think you're only able to use Companion gear and not player gear to do it though I could be (and probably am) wrong. Hope this helps a bit.

    As far as I know, any of the Stronghold pet OH pieces will work. Not sure about IG gear or anything else.

    How often does that gear drop? I've never seen it drop.

    Once in a blue moon. I've had it on my second Pally for ages. You still look like your holding a shield when in combat, without seeing the shield. It looks cool to be honest.

    You have to run the Crisis BHEs and the medium HEs and pray for a drop. It can drop a selection of OH pieces, rings, belts and necks. I know I've seen Orc, Thayan and Barbarian variants. I don't recall ever seeing any drop from Mercenaries or Undead.

    The one I use dropped during a Medium HE in the stronghold. I haven't had any of the others drop for me. Sorry I could be more help. Good luck.
