Conqueror’s Shards of Power

So, With the 2x Shards event starting today, i don't think (or i didn't see it) we had any answers to concerns about this part of the Ravenloft update :
Strongholds: The Barracks now uses Adventurer's Shards of Power rather than Conquerer's Shards of Power.
I know a lof of guilds whose still schoked and disapointed by the brutality of this move.
Not the change itself, it's a good news for the future to be able to avoid pvp if we don't like it and still wanting to build the Barracks for the boon.
But How it was released. No previous announcement, no words about it in the Preview server patchs and feedbacks threads, no sweet transition for guilds whose take a lot of time or money (a lot of zen coffers buyed in the past for this) to accumulate thoses shards in the past weeks (sometimes months).
So, now we have thousands of shards not necessary anymore, we don't need/want to build pvp structures, and it's just feel like weeks of work are now just wasted.
A good and positive change turned in a bad and brutal news, easily avoidable with just an once of communication with players.
@nitocris83 please, any feedback about shards already earned in the coffer before the patch from devs or staff could be a ray of hope in the barovian night of my broken guildies hearts.
