Launcher crashes

For the past few weeks every time I try to login the game crashes. I have tried running three different anti-malware, system cleaner/optimization programs, updated all drivers, and uninstalled/ reinstalled Neverwinter. It now tries to patch when I start it, but crashes before it gets 1% of the update done. I have been at a loss for what to do. These crashes seem to coincide with the arrival of new ads that pop up in the Arc screen, but I have no idea if they are connected.
