I just realised what I meant by content I cant do etc.
With River District they introduced new weapons which are very very good. But they also made it so that you could attain them by using the Campaign method and grind them out via the content which was very group friendly - Sewers, SHEs, SHIP!!!! etc and those mini dungeons. That felt like fun to me. KNOWING I coudl log on and get a little closer to those ABoleth Weapons!
With ToNG that isnt the case, and the best armour is hidden behind content that a lot of PUGs cant do [ToNG].
Does that maybe explain a little more about what we would liek to see in a new mod?
This is just what I was going to say thank you for saving me the effort. Being that I play 4 toons all in the 12k IL to 14k IL range they havent done much to improve our gaming life in awhile. Nice they are giving the 15k IL + some stuff but all this is doing is creating an even bigger GAP between them and the rest. They can call ToNG a 12k IL if they want to but the player base does not seem to agree with that. Cryptic logic oh well back to the old grind.
Not really excited, if all M13 provides is just a new map and a Trial which is a continuation of chult, then it should have been somewhat of a M12c with less time between 12b and 12c, I mean the theme, landscape and hunt mechanics are most likely to be the same.
Let's hope i'm wrong tho
They could have called this Mod12b and skipped Swords of Chult altogether.
New campaign with grindin fest for boons-new weapons and an end game Trial which noone will be able to run like Tong because of the high requirements...No thnx..mehhh...every mod goes from bad to worse...
Excuse me for noticing, but that's exactly what end game MMORPGs are like. Regardless of which one, grinding is a part of it. A new trial sounds like fun, and high requirements will only make it sweeter 'cause it's gonna be harder content.
Kinda funny out MMOs are dying isn't it (just google MMOs are dead)? Could it be the endless grinding?
My opinion is to create triple the classes and races, take the content and just like Elemental Evil let you run through it with various changes in the environment with other conflicts and such. Run the game like a giant Foundry in that the maps and the NPC content are not interlinked so tightly but allow more fluidity with the NPCs, political situations, etc. But that would take a lot of work and its actually easier just to let the old content "rot" while just bolting on new end game stuff.
i see snake ladies, "Naga" mob version, it been awhile since we got harper snake lady companion, it about time they make new appearances. on that pics, i see new "tri-top" mound, look like tank defender.
Without even playing Mod 13 I'm already extremely bored. Really nothing new. QoL changes are cool, but that doesn't add anything. Since a few mods game is gated behind horrible RNG to keep you playing .. but that's all. Once you've got what you need, there is nothing to do. Hunts ? One mod was enough. All I see is one mod divided in two very small ones.
I am sorry to be a Debbie Downer on this... but no the video does not impress me.
I have barely touched Chult, it has been available to us since summer of 2017, and I just don't care all that much for "Jurassic Park". It is no secret the company was hip-deep in building Jurassic World Online, when it went belly up, this Chult mod 12 was soon released. I don't mind Cryptic putting the assets to use here and it somewhat fits the Forgotten Realms lore. I just don't get into dinosaurs, it is an immersion breaking device to see players riding by on dinosaurs and hovering carpets everywhere in this game. It could be worse, it could have been mech suits.
I also quickly realized when I saw the large Chult map with only one city, they plan to recycle old maps and make new modules here just by adding an icon. The is not new content at all, it appears to be recycled from all the things we did before. On the Chult beach we get attacked by crabs and one giant crab just like the ones in the Drowned Shore. They just shuffle stuff around and hand out weakly developed plots anyone could tell. Enjoy The Lost City, I will still be busy elsewhere in the game.

This is on the Forgotten Realms wiki and may help;
Fenthaza belonged to a cult of yuan-ti that had founded the Fane of the Night Serpent, a temple hidden beneath the palace of Omu. As high priest of Dendar, Fenthaza performed the ritual to transform Ras Nsi into a yuan-ti malison, though she later began doubting his role as cult leader. This led to Fenthaza planning a coup to end Ras Nsi's rule.
But yes if the Naga fits then wear it. I have Naga Hides ;D
Was excited by the trailer ! went to test server, and all the excitment went back the hamster down What a nice grind we will have... again... In a zone that looks like mod12b... The gear is quite good, so it seems, but really... calling that a new mod is a bit overstated. It should have been named mod12c. No new class, no new dungeon, no new environment, no new class mechanics... yeah it is fair to say that I am a bit disappointed. If you are like me and spend your time in tong, chaining this dungeon over and over, this new mod doesn't seem it will change anything for us...

I don't think we've touched upon this enough, but I hope the boons won't be utter HAMSTER.
Uhm... there are no new boons in Mod 13 - you basically just get extra points to spend on the Mod 12 boons. I am actually tempted to refer to the Lost City of Omu not as "Mod 13", but rather as "Mod 1, (part 3)" - it is so closely related to Mod 12.

With ToNG that isnt the case, and the best armour is hidden behind content that a lot of PUGs cant do [ToNG].
Does that maybe explain a little more about what we would liek to see in a new mod?
Well, you can get the "second best" stuff fairly easily, but quite frankly, you shouldn't be running ToNG until you are ready for it, and you cannot improve your character in other ways.
Do you have 4 points in all the powers you use?
Do you have decent armor/gear (IL 450-480)?
Do you have a good set of companions and high-ranked bonding runestones?
Do you have high ranked enchants (R11+) in all slots?
Are you comfortable in mSVA, FBI and mSP ?
If not, then maybe you are simply not ready for ToNG. There is other content that is more suitable. The people currently farming ToNG didn't get to where they are in a month or two. We all spent months grinding and gearing up.
Harsh? Elitist?
Just the cold, hard truth. You can do ToNG with an undergeared group or a random PUG, but it will probably be a frustrating experience that may easily take an hour or two.
Now, if you want easier content - well, there is some of that being added - the hunts and HEs for example - of course the rewards are not comparable, but you should not be able to get the best rewards except from the hardest content....and if you are not ready for that content, then you just have to spend some effort on getting to that point.

Yes I agree - that's what I am saying.
But with River District you could get some great stuff by grinding your way through it. And I know I'm not ready for To9G, thats what I am saying. SO running an endless grind of stuff I have done a zillion times before is getting a little tiresome.

Wow, that all sounds fun O_o
So if you are at that level, what is the point of farming ToNG? To gear up for what? An even harder future area that a huge swath of the player base will never see?
devs still not listening to players, most of us want to run some 'one-shot' old quest dungeons that never been replay, unless you make new alts or run with someone on first time runs. previous dev team didnt made that accessable for replays. way too many "ghost town zones" get abandoned for years. make those rare unoften seen gears as new appearance drop as rewards or part of collections. when if we want a replacements, we run that place again for appearances. or make it as new dressing choice unlocked as STO's tailor options.

um, isnt there like 3-4 versions of snake ladies? Yuan-ti, Naga, winged snake tribe, and medusa types "Echidna"?
we all still hadnt encounter demon-naga like with 6 arms "Marilith"?
