Eotyrannus Talon?

I've been farming eotyrannus for two days now. Killed countless pairs of the fork thing and got exactly ZERO eotyrannus Talon. So, what's the catch? Am I THAT unlucky?

We all are unfortunately.

8 people farming venomtails over a week straight - total of 9 venom. That's over 20 hours of play time per venom

I think the general consensus is, Smilidon fangs, Eotyrannus talons, and (occassionally) venomtails are some of hardest to get to drop. I dunno, some days those drop for me fairly easy and other days its just nothing. Big claws and Batiri masks can be hit and miss as well but just stick with it or maybe try your luck at fishing them out of the river. Given as many times folks have hit the rares and come away with nothing, the river bottom must be littered with them. Good hunting.

As I've noted in a couple of threads there seems to be several bugs with both drop chance and mob rare rendering. As a general advice - if you did not have a trophy drop after killing 15 rares - try switching map instance, ideally to one where no camp HE is active. If you do not see rare mobs spawning at all - restart your game client.
Also, if you have more luck with one mob but not another - you can trade things, e.g. batiri trinkets for venom or teeth.
