Can we please get a DragonLance campaign already?

There are endless amounts of people walking around with game names from the series. I've seen so many Raistlin's Tanis', etc. Why can't we get a campaign based on the book series? It's 33 long not counting side novels, and Ansalon would be so sick to visit. I know they can't fit the entire series in a campaign obviously, but even if it was just Autumn Twilight and trying to stop Raistlin get the Dragon Orb or something. There is so much they could do with the game.
Tasslehoff Burrfoot companion for lifesteal would be cool. I'd personally like Fistandantilus aka Paladin as a companion. I've read every book in the series more than once and I really wish they would make it considering Wizards owns the rights.

Anyone else?

Many of the recent campaigns(Jungles of Chult, for example) are made at the direction of WoTC to support their promotions, tying cross platform themes in MTG (sometimes) & D&D. Cryptic can only make campaigns on other topics/settings with the consent of WoTC and when WoTC allows a change in the Promo schedule.

It would be nice to see some other revivals, but WoTC may have more to say about it, than Cryptic.

Forgotten Realms is now the Core Campaign for Dungeons & Dragons. Neverwinter (the MMO) is based off of the Neverwinter Campaign Boxed Set and follows the end of the 4th Edition Timeline and on into the current 5th Edition Timeline of the Forgotten Realms. Dragonlance does not have any 4th or 5th edition source material. The latest DL source material was 3rd (3.5 to be exact) edition. Wizards of the Coast is apparently focused on 5th Edition Forgotten Realms.

What I would suggest, that would give any chance of any Dragonlance cross-over into Neverwinter (the MMO Game), is to go to the Official Wizards of the Coast D&D Forums and somehow figure out how to convince them to add some Dragonlance 5th Edition content into their module timeline. Neverwinter (the MMO Game) clearly now follows WotC's D&D Module Timeline, so the only chance for Cryptic to be allowed to do cross-campaign world content is to have WotC implement it into their timeline of module events.

It's also possible M. Weis's company owns the rights to DL material

It's also a completely different world setting, with loads of differences. Not least of which is a completely different pantheon of Gods.

Please no. Dragonlance was a completely different setting, and while it may be a cool setting, it should not be injected into Faerun.

But Cryptic is still allowed some freedom right? Last I checked Cloaked Ascendancy doesn't have a pen and paper counterpart so what is the story with that module?

It was a way to return one of the missing dungeons and continue an existing storyline around the Spellplague.

As for freedom, I expect that Cryptic may submit ideas, but approval rests with WoTC. WoTC will have less stringent requirements during certains times, but will insist on topics when there are tie-ins. But, going back to a different ruleset story would not be something Cryptic could do on their own.

It's like watching Doctor Who and asking, "when are they going to do a Klingon story?"
It's TV, yes. It's Sci fi... yes. But two completely different mythologies, histories, world settings, backgrounds, characters and pretty much everything else that gives them a unique individuality.

WOTC still owns it but they haven't released any material since 2003
