ZEN Companion Token Pack - Price Review

This pack is listed for 500 ZEN. On PC, this is roughly 250,000 AD. The pack contains 15 tokens.

For some reference:

Upgrade from Common to Uncommon: 50k AD, or 30 tokens.
Upgrade from Uncommon to Rare: 250k AD, or 60 tokens.
Upgrade from Rare to Epic: 500k AD, or 90 tokens.
Upgrade from Epic to Legendary: 1M AD, or 120 tokens.

So using basic math, to upgrade using this pack:

Upgrade from Common to Uncommon: 500k AD
Upgrade from Uncommon to Rare: 1M AD
Upgrade from Rare to Epic: 1.5M AD
Upgrade from Epic to Legendary: 2M AD

I can only imagine this is targeted at people who are VERY new to the game and how things work (pretty shady to exploit people like that, but whatever), people who failed every math class they ever took, or BEST CASE, people who just need a few more tokens....

In the best case scenario, someone is at 105 tokens and want to upgrade to legendary (there is NO POINT AT ALL buying this for use on a common or uncommon...). They buy the pack for 250k and they are good to go. This is a very slim condition and honestly, anyone upgrading to a legendary companion would probably know there are cheaper ways to get 15 more tokens. IE buy companion packs on the AH (even at like 25k for 2 tokens and a chance at 30, this is a better deal).

This pricing needs to be looked at, as there are very few scenarios this makes sense. I would think maybe 250 would be a better point, or double the tokens it provides...something like that. At current, it makes more sense to watch the AH for companion packs or to buy lockboxes and test your luck.

One player in the patch notes thread did raise the point that it's not as bad a deal for consoles, but still, I don't like the idea of pricing items for console and expecting PC players to avoid it as a bad deal.
