Arc update not working

It stops at different times.
I see 21,586 of 25,374 and get 'encountered an error, please try again'
Then I see 21,454 of 25,374
Then:

Anyone else? Luckily I know how to run the game launcher without Arc, but I do like to keep up to date on Arc News and such.
Any ideas or (helpful!) suggestions?
I tried running Repair Arc and that keeps failing also.

Same problem. Repair ARC gets same error.
It is unfortunate that many players won't know
how to bypass ARC = Lost play time / revenue.

Note to Cryptic....
Arc is where I buy my zen. No Arc equals no zen purchases by me.
Please fix this.

Fixed.
Not entirely sure if it was you (Cryptic) or because Windows just updated, but it (Arc) downloaded 49215k and updated fine just now.

Glad it fixed itself for you. To answer your question though on running the launcher without ARC, just go find the "Neverwinter.exe" executable in the installation directory, make a shortcut to it and pin it wherever you like. Then, instead of loading ARC, just click that shortcut.

If the ARC Updater keeps causing this issue, first try opening Task Manager and closing all running tasks for ARC. Then reload ARC. If that doesn't resolve it, you may wish to contact Support directly.

I am getting the same thing an Error 36. I hope they fix this soon.

Well it never got fixed so I uninstalled Arc and I play the game without it now

If it's Error 36, rebooting your computer will resolve that one.

After I posted this, it seemed like every other arc update worked and every other one failed.
Until now.
There was an update of 15k or so that just kept failing and now it says 34k or so and also keeps failing.
I am not sure what is going on.

I am trying to download the game for the first time. It got about halfway done downloading before all progress halted. It took me longer to realize it wasn't downloading than I'd like to admit... now it just says "patching" but gives no progress report/timeline, so I assume it is not even downloading anymore... Help?
