"Your companion has died!"

Open memo to all Companions:

There are several locations around the Sword Coast (and elsewhere) with very high precipices. They include Pirates' Skyhold (where they are quite numerous), Whispering Caverns, the Phantasmal Fortress, the Lair of Lostmauth, and others. There's little doubt that Chult has several as well.

Please note that falling off these precipices can lead to your death, a situation that your owners/masters/employers find quite inconvenient.

What I would like to know is how my Sylph, Shadow Demon and Will O Wisp can fall off cliffs, down ravines or into illusory holes in the ground in the first place when they can all fly so never set foot on any kind of ground to fall off in the first place >:)

Are you sure there isn't a cat companion lounging about and pushing the other companions off ledges?

(Community Note: this was a joke based on feline behavior and not an implication that cat companions have this power)

The fact that you even had to add the note is a sad comment on the state of the interwebs :) I lol'ed as I have two cats and that is just the kind of thing they do to each other :)

Well, the Fallout 4 companions should read this note too... B)
I do believe in killing the messenger...
    Want to know why?
    Because it sends a message!

    Indeed.

Nothing much more annoying that realising you're about to die and can't understand why...

Then you realize your healer buddy is fighting/dying in the Icy Seas with a troll after falling off a snowy cliff in the Sea Of Moving Ice.
