It was and still too grindy , but they ignored that in the original request to tone it down.

When things are implemented like this, it just makes it very boring to the larger population in general.

the good news, is it appears they are not going to add another grind level of this type for awhile.

I agree that they should bump up / speed up the secrets of ostoria collection. Or make it available through another means, like perhaps as a purchasable with the traveling merchant at the River District who already sells Voninblood?

One small but simple improvement they could make with Secrets of Ostoria would be to make the 'Readying for Invasion' daily give the same number of Secrets as the 'Defending the Dale' daily. You have to complete three quests for both but 'Defending the Dale' gives 3 secrets while 'Readying for Invasion' only gives one. You do get Runic Fragments and some Krill with 'Readying..' but the cost in Secrets for the final boons is so high, the number given for this daily should also be three. Just a thought :)

For Bryn/CR/Loneleywood, this is what I used to do. Go there to collect all the available quest everyday. Do the easiest/close to camp one and a bunch of them if the quests are nearby. Finish them is good. If not, do part of the quest if convenient. The idea is to submit only ONE quest in each zone everyday. Don't submit everything just because you finish them. I tried to submit those that have stuff occupying my inventory first.

So, in many days, I just go to each zone to submit one quest (and collect quests) without doing any quest. The time spend is the time I spend to jump and reach the quest givers.
I may spend a little bit good quality time to finish a bunch of "overlap" quests in the weekend.

I did that for awhile, but ultimately went back to doing the quests day by day. Stockpiling took up too much of my time while doing it and also forced me into doing the quests that otherwise I'd have never touched. Instead, I learned to identify the easy fast quests in each zone per day.

BS: Guard Doors (get West circle not South) or Playing Support or Gathering Eggs, or Merchant Chests.
LW: Picking Flowers, Checking Crates, Trainimg Day, Firewood.
    CR: Ambush, Orc Thralls, Plans

Basically, I feel that each day there is a quest in each zone that can be done quickly and with no RNG based drops or multiple objectives. My time per day is more, but less per week. Overall my time is better spent since I can ignore the BS wave attacker quests or the Scuppered Skipper bottleneck, etc...

I do tasks that can tend to complete multiple tasks. For example, Firewood can covers 3 quests (I believe): Firewood, kill golbins, collect weapons. So, doing firewood, I get 3 quests to cover 3 days. I hate to do picking flowers but I do pick one if I pass by one. Hence, eventually, that can be done. I have not done training day for a long time because that IMO is very painful and long.

Training Day was awful at the start because it was bugged. There is a minor nuisance in the quest marker going away as you get close, but this can be dealt with by manually setting a marker on the blue circle you are headed for. Then just ride to the marker. Even if mobs try to attack, as long as you don't stop, the trainee won't die.

Flowers can be made easier by ignoring ths blue circle entirely. They can be found anywhere in ths green vegetated area and along the coast. Someone with more patience than me could easily map them out and find the fastest route.

IIRC, flowers are almost always guarded by a stationary mob. And the opposite is also true: almost every stationary mob guards at least 1 flower bundle. That's how I always found them (and got hide drops from wolves at the same time).

Completely agree about training day. Remember the wild speculation? The superstitions and voodoo workarounds? And then it ended up being something absolutely nuts (I vaguely remember that the quest would fail if anyone else in your instance started it or something like that). Let's hope they don't have a critical quest fail lined up in mod 12 :)

That is true only if stationary mob stays alive before you get there. On the "flower" day, they don't live long. :)

Stationary mobs tend to respawn rather quickly.
I'm not looking for forgiveness, and I'm way past asking permission. Earth just lost her best defender, so we're here to fight. And if you want to stand in our way, we'll fight you too.

You can still easily do the flower quest without killing any mobs.

It is not about killing mob. It is about using mob as a big flag of "flower is here".

I usually just go to forest near where the refugee HE spawns. There are plenty of them there and the mobs are usually dead/not close enough to get aggro'd. 'Course that could've changed now that fewer people are playing mod 10 content.

Yes. I finished the last SKT boon of one character using that service.

You have to do the first 2 commerce tasks to trade with her. Then look in the furthest dock from the treasure ship. She is frequently there, right on the edge past where some Nashers spawn.
