Random crashes

Ok so been having so many crashes to desktop last few weeks.this is peeing mr off to no end.
At chests in FBI,CN,Then BAM crash.i lose all the loot.
Cryptic you owe me nearly 15 chests from both dungeons,what ya gonna do ?

    Lots of people run CN every hour of the day. Since nobody else is complaining, problem is probably with your PC. I would do a memory test since it is most likely the problem. Maybe re-seat the memory modules.

    I've been having a few crashes on map changes or changing characters (say 1 crash in 10 to 20 changes).

    Just now i was checking all my toons profession tasks and start new ones, was login on last char to check profession and game crashed/not responding on loading screen, @nitocris83 any explanation for this problem?

    This has been happening to me for two or three weeks. It started after the RD patch.

    Why would she know? It's your PC and software environment.....

    Just an FYI.... I couldn't see the last bit of your post. It ended at 'zones or characters.' I couldn't see it til I quoted it.

    My point is, when there is something wrong, usually a jillion posts appear about it. I just haven't seen that...

    Also, if its not everyone, its likely the system. Could be card or software specific, could be a fluke. I just don't see calling on Julia for every little blurb, which some people do quite a bit. Its like if they can blame *someone*, they feel better about themselves.

    Just my opinion, of course.

    I'm escalating crashes based on another thread but I'll make sure to include this one (and any other mentions of crashes) as well.

    If the problem is 'I have a PC with God knows what on it, and your software doesn't automatically adjust to make the game work', then yes, its a client problem.

    Do you get the red 'Waiting for server' countup when this happens?

    Can people who have experienced crashes confirm of they are getting server or client crashes? I've seen defiant and andybones reference client crashes but would like to know more across the board,

    Server crashes will typically kick the players back to the login screen
    Client crashes will typically kick players back to Windows

    With the removal of DirectX 9 support, some players that previously used it may encounter new problems after the forced switch to DirectX 11. The most important differences (from a stability point of view) between different player's computers is probably the graphics hardware. Be sure your graphic card drivers are up-to-date. If your graphics card is very old, consider whether you can upgrade to something a little more modern.

    Anyone who has tried to run an edemo or msva with me since RD dropped knows that I DC a LOT :) I have entered MSVA twice without DCing. I have DC'd about 30 times on MSVA alone. Just going into the raids.

    Ok, I DC. It happens. When I log back in most times I rejoin the raid. YAY. However, I've lost my party and ability to chat in queue group. I can drop from queue and get picked back up and I'm in party but chat stays broken until we finish the raid and I drop from the queue group again.

    I've not done standard trouble shooting yet though. Maybe I'll reinstall tonight...

    My client crashed a few times when I wanted to switch character. These happened after the last patch. I have not had any crash for a few months before this. It was okay for me after RD dropped.

    Me to. It's always a CTD during a character change, usually 2 or 3 times a day currently.
    Definitely not an Arc User.

    the previous 7 toons all worked out, didnt lost connection from internet or pc didnt frozen because i could do other real life task on it, so basicly, what could go went wrong then? can you help at all?

    I have been getting a lot of game freezing - sounds very similar to Defiant's - lava bar just stops and I have to use windows task manager to kill the client that is "not responding". Mostly on changing characters and but I think sometimes on map changes.

    I'm running Windows 7 and Nvidia GPU.

    Hardly ever used to happen, now it happens a lot (well for a month or two)

    The loading progress bar just stops. I have found that if you click twice anywhere on the screen, a white overlay will show and give you a info window that says gameclient.exe has stopped responding, with the option to close the program or wait.

    I was getting ONE toon only (out of 6) that was client crashing after the RD patch (almost every day), but has been stable for the past 4 days now (fingers crossed). I also moved location to Northern Lights at the same time, so I suspect it may be zone related.

    It was my TR toon, crashed to desktop in PE, Stronghold and Well of Dragons, but only when I went to change toons or exit the game - never any other time, and not on any of my other toons. It was getting to the point where it was not all the time, but regular enough that I was testing having dialog boxes open when changing toons was a cause (it was not). I have Win7 and AMD. Otherwise stable as a rock... on sand... in a stream... :#

    Might is not always right - the powerful sometimes forget that.

    Server Crashes galore - I'm at the point of having around 20+ within my 4-5 hour gaming time each night (This never used to be this bad). I have the occasional Client crash, but usually they can be chalked up to lots of effects and the video card has a moment.

    @nitocris83 i have 2 types of crashes so far, 1-when switching toons making game client showing message on task manager(not responding), 2- when i join Dungeons disconnecting and making me go to log in screen, i have changed to dx11 the day before the changes were made. hope to hear some news soon ty.

    I'm having similar situations.

    The client crash everytime i change characters too fast, for some reason it doesn't crash when i wait a bit before clicking into another character.

    The server crash when i enter some dungeons, but i couldn't see any pattern to these crashes like i did with client crashes. There was a day that the server crashed 4 times when i tried to enter Epic Temple of Spider, another time i got logged out 3 times trying to enter some skirmish (don't remember if it was Throne or Prophecy).
