Mirage weapon set bonus feedback

Hello, just got the Mirage weapon set today and here i'll write what I noticed about the set bonus for those who don't know what set to take.

- Illusions deal between 1k and 2.5k damages per hit (i'm a GWF). They don't seem to be affected by bonus damages such as your Power. Looks like flat damages.

- They take your appearance but don't proc Weapon Enchantments. There is a current bug where your companion also becomes an illusion (becomes like you) but keeps the same attack. I currently have a Fire Archon and even though it looks like a bug I like to see a copy of myself throwing fireballs :D. You can then have 4 naked men walking with you !

- They tend to surround the ennemies, creating very easy Combat Advantage in a big corner.

- They are quite very squishy, and they tend to stop attacking if you stop attacking too and run away (if you just stop attacking they keep attacking)

- Looks like they only have one at-will in their abilities. As a GWF they seem to only know how to use Wicked Strike. A bit sad ...

- You can revive them if they die, but time wasting obviously.

- Increasing Artifact rank or quality doesn't increase Illusion damages.

if you have some more information don't hesitate

All in all, I'd say the set is interesting but lackluster since it's flat damages and they get one shot by any "powerful" ennemy ability. Fun, yes but BiS ? I don't think so. The Illusion damages don't increase with the artifact rank nor quality, which is pretty sad. It should.

It made sense that they would reuse code from the Paranoid Delusion companion, but confirmation is nice.

I wish someone could make a comparison with the other weapons that come from river district. It would be helpful to know if they are worth the extra effort...

This was great to have a report on Mirage Weapons. Now I'd like to hear how Aboleth Weapons stack up!

Do the illusions have threat, or are they ignored if you are attacking the same thing?

found video on youtube but was a TR testing on dumies, so was impossible to see if they hold any agro...

also about the "bug" on active companion, theres something in the weapons effect description about weird effect or something like it, i belive that's the case... so probably not a bug...

I do think they have threat but if you attack the same thing you hold the most threat as they do very little damages.

Sooo, all in all, it seems that "Mirage" will be pretty lackluster?

I guess it was expected, but still, feels like the devs really missed a nice opportunity to create some variety in the classes by killing (some of) the M11 weapons before they were even born...

This one was designed more as a PvP set than anything. I wouldn't expect many players to be enthused about it for PvE, unless they're really into the idea of commanding a clone army.

Good to know that. I was worried about mirage effect. Seems like it's only worth if you do pvp, otherwise better stay with aboleth or relic ones...

Do the mirages proc things like Aura of Courage, Abyss of Chaos, etc?
  • andreask#1780 andreask Member Posts: 55 Arc User
My concern is this: Mirage set have the same statistics with the other 3 types of sets. The only difference seems to be the bonus each set provides. So how much extra damage (if any) would provide for example a random bonus from an aboleth weapon compared to the 2 mirages that spawn?

Afaik they work the same as companions, which means they're considered allies so I'd say yes but not sure.

There are 3 illusions, each deals about 2k damages per second (GWF one has Wicked Strike at-will so it's in AoE) but they pretty much get one shot by any powerful ennemy AoE

Ok, this answer my question. If they die so easily, they are pretty much useless. Thank you c3rb3r3.

I wonder if each illusion can proc Storm Spell on their own...

95% of extra dmg you will gain will be from weapon stats and weapon dmg. And 5% from those illusions and extra 3-10% from set. Comparing mod 11 weapons with elemental/twisted at the same lvl, you are getting about +20% weapon dmg + power and crit stats. These last stats are a bit less important if you had twisted set and could keep power stacks at max (which should give you almost 4k pow)
