Joystick support in NW?

My only question here is: Is there any plan to bring joystick support for Neverwinter? I' really like to test the combat experience with a controller, don't tell me to go to PS4/Xbox, i know a lot of people would love it.

    Hi zevi,

As far as I know, there is no concrete plan at this time for this but with game development, nothing is ever set in stone :)

    Shame.

Quick question to all you PC experts:

I have a PS4 fight stick which has a USB Port. It is supposed to be used with fighting games ala SFV, but does anyone know if there's some way I can (bizarrely) hook up my fight stick to play Neverwinter?

I use a program called Xpadder, you can map whatever you want, if you do a google search you can even find profiles you can just install and go, I'm pretty sure if I remember right I just download a config file or something and have been using ever since, haven't had any problems

I followed this video I think

You might to download x360ce or could be pinnacle, not sure for the playstation controller, don't have one to check

Another option for the playstation controller would be JoyToKey

I've used http://ds4windows.com/ in the past with my PS3 Controller. It also works with a PS4 one.

Thanks for all the responses, I'll look into each option.

(I wonder, if Monk is added as the next class, maybe we need to do Hadoken and Dragon Punch motions to power up the Monk's attacks. if so... kekekeke)

PC version has digital movement, console versions has analog. It's easy to setup controller input to pc, but playing with controller is still horrible compared to console... Tried it, and moved back to mouse and keyboard.

Yeah, there were extensive discussions on the old forum ~3 years ago describing how to map PC keyboard commands to a joystick or controller.

You might try searching the archives, but not sure if pre-vanilla threads were saved.

Some friends and I tried using controllers on NW PC ~2 years ago. We all hated it and went back to keyboard <1 week.

But maybe there are better programs for it now. Test it out and let's us all know. I might try it again.

Well, I'm really glad with all responses, as for people trying to map a joystick I suggest using Pinnacle Game Profile, I tried and it's key bidding system, imo, is way superior/easier to sett up than xpadder (also tried this one). but with support to Joystick it would also integrate menus.
