The Report Spam System (abbreviated suggestion)

It sucks.... fix it....

Just in case the devs/whoever cares to know... there is an obviously easy enough chance that if a person expresses the wrong opinion... talks to the wrong person in a manner they thinks isn't enough like a groupie... or exerts any authority as a Channel Owner.. they can be Report Spammed into a 24 Hour Chat Ban... for 4 days...

You guys really should give Customer Service the ability to VERIFY if the circumstances of the Chat Ban is LEGIT and NOT just some petty act of vengeance or childish attempt to feel important and in control of another person's words/opinions.

TY, and hopefully you guys will show your support for those trying to go above and beyond for PEOPLE in this game, instead of treating people like NPC"s with super fancy AI... or worse... Companions (Pets) to run content with.

IMO, the person who is 'banned' should have the ability to know why he was banned. The reason why he was banned might be justified but he could not know and would do that again. He might just break a simple common rule that he really did/do not know.

He should be able to access a (say) web site or game feature to check: the chat message in question + the "reason" from the accuser.

    With that,
    1. the accused can learn what he might do wrong.
    2. the accused has a mean to appeal (if the reason is not reasonable).
    3. the CS has a mean to verify and judge.

You do realize that it takes more than one person reporting for someone to get chat-banned, don't you?

He does. His issue is he is banned from his own created channel by the people he invited. The same group of people (out of couple hundreds) can ban him every time he talked in his own channel such as saying hi. I assume he just cannot know who they are.

I don't think you can remove people from your Ignore list once you Report Spam them.. they actually don't show up on your ignore list.. maybe the /unignore command works for that.. idk. But, i do know it takes numerous amounts of people to effect a chat ban... I do have around 500 people in the channel... I do wish I had a list of people who have me on ignore so that I could remove them from channel.. or even the option to make sure they never see me in ANY chat again...

Even if it's numerous people that ASKED to be invited to the channel I OWN and populated with nearly 500 people to SERVE the COMMUNITY.... it still shouldn't be that I suffer a Chat ban because they didn't chose to leave the channel they chose to join.. OR... at least do ignore instead of Report Spam.

The whole Report Spam system (unmoderated) is just a system that is wide open to Abuse and MISuse. There needs to be some regulation of it... like... Customer Service being able to VERIFY if the Report Spam action was Warranted or just someone being a jerk and if it's some people just being jerks.. well.. un chat ban me.. if there's an indication taht someone is abusing the game system to HARRASS someone.. there should be consequences.

Also, when you are put on ignore or Report Spammed.. you should be able to see who did it. We have an Ignored list.. how about an ignored BY list?

Reporting spam adds to the regular ignore list, so you can remove and repeat. If you are fast enough, you can PM suspected people. You will see a message when you PM a person who has you on ignore.

My entire ignore list composes nothing but bots I've reported. I wouldn't bother ignoring them, but since it's automatic, I have a pretty long ignore list. While I've never cleared mine out, I know others have. I think that you can ignore a lot more accounts than it can display though.

I've experienced several times that I have people on ignore, but not showing up in ignore list. Some that I didn't mean to put on ignore, others who just stayed there after I cleared out my ignore list some time ago. If there are still people on my "invisible ignore list", I have no idea.
In these cases, /unignore seemed to work just fine.
If this method can be used by one person to send multiple spam reports on another individual, resulting in a chat ban, then that is a HUGE design flaw.

Well... there it is.. I tried to unignore someone I accidentally report spammed and i guess my list was too full. Alright... so.. it's possible a cluster of (insert any negative phrase here and it would likely apply) have done the report spam... unignore.. wait til they seem my toon again and repeat....

There' NEEDS to be a way for Devs or Customer Service or SOMEONE to check this....

5 DAYS!!!!! And it may not end... What am I supposed to do if they really can repeatedly do this for a month?

Is this incremental? 1 day, 2 days, 3 days, .... life?

Whoever is doing it must keep reporting again after each ban expires. I'm sure that chat-ban squelches never last longer than 24 hours otherwise. Plenty of people have been muted repeatedly (the usual suspects in PE zone chat, dontcha know), with no indication that it gets longer the more times it happens.
