Do elf models have abnormally long necks?

Could just be the armor im wearing or something but i feel like my drow rogue has a really long neck. It didn't look that long in the character creator but after creation i started noticing it. Even with neck length all the way down, am i missing something or is that just a weird quirk of nwo? Most art sources suggest the neck being 1/4 the length of the head to avoid uncanny valley.

There is a big problem, I've found, with the Character Creator. First off the lighting, including the color filter on the lighting, assures that your character will not have the skin tone, hair color(s), nor even eye and tattoo colors you that they would have. Also, yes I find the proportions seem to shift and many parts warp going from character creation to play.

It's gotten to the point that I have to make a character, enter the game, see what's wrong with them, erase them and recreate them, trying to remember what I had the sliders on and adjust for the mutation process that will occur entering play. Sometimes I have to do this multiple times, creating something that looks cartoonish and/or freakish in the Character Creator, but cartoonish and/or freakish in just the right way, so that while playing my toon won't appear to a reflection in a funhouse mirror. Can this really be that hard?

At the very least give an option next to Show/Hide armour that takes out the "dramatic" lighting and color filters in the creation screen please.

Yup, always have to shorten the neck to the lowest possible with the slider.

Worst of all, there's a horrible gap on the neck that looks like some mutated adams apple on females.

I'm not a huge fan of the revamped races either way, half-giraffes or not.

I wish there was a lighting selector/toggle in character creation, with Protector's Enclave-like lighting as a second option.

I also find that the "display model" armor used in new character creation can be distorting. Making a female DC, I thought everything looked fine using fairly un-tweaked body proportion settings, until I saw her in the featureless vest style of her lowbie armor. She desperately needed reduction surgery to ease the back strain.
