A weekly AD task for the Stronghold

For a casual guild, it always seems our most difficult MIMIC drain to fill is influence. It seems that the other zones will always be run first, especially if players can generate their weekly AD. Ice Wind Dale, Sharandar, Dread Ring, Tyranny of Dragons all have AD generation so people can run those and generate items to drop in the mimic. As far as I know, there is no 'professional' method to make influence--just the HEs in the stronghold.

Soooooo. . .If the stronghold were to add a weekly AD task, possibly tied into HEs or the Rangers task or better yet, a new task given by the Stronghold Manager (I forget his title), would that be game breaking? If not to generate AD, at least another method to generate Influence that doesn't hit the original 400 cap.

Thoughts?

A weekly quest for Influence has been suggested multiple times, exactly along the same lines as providing a progression boost the way weekly campaign quests typically do. If using a time-saver model similar to campaigns prior to SKT, then I'd call it about 5 days worth of Inf, so 2000 for a weekly, using a short instanced format as most other weeklies do. I like the idea of the Steward directing your character to fend off an invasion, which could be accessed via a door in the Stronghold and take place on the walls. This would allow re-use of existing assets (and players are still disappointed that a promise to make the walls accessible outside of Siege is yet unfulfilled).

I would expand the quest reward suggestion to include a quantity of heroic shards too. They turn into another major bottleneck as you progress, in part because half of the assumed available earning for them is inconsistently available (they are on a personal cooldown rather than predictable daily reset, *and* the epic SH HEs are not feasible for all players to complete). 50 shards on a weekly quest would not be unreasonable.

I also agree that making it an AD quest would be optimal. It would add another gameplay AD source for a broad spectrum of players, and partially address the fact that farming Influence is incompatible with nearly every other goal the game sets for players (it's pretty alright for utility enchant procs).

@rgutscheradev ... I know you're on our side with this.
