Defending the dale

I can't seem to find this quest, I did the weekly in Bryn, but I can't get other quests until I receive defending the dale....where do I get this quest???

    Except she's bugged. I know who you're referring to. She'll only give me the weekly, not the Defending the Dale quest.
    As such, i'm in the same boat as reefriednunt. I can't complete any dailies.

    She gives the quest on my other characters, but on one, she refuses to do so.
    Checked quest journal multiple times, just to make sure it wasn't in there, so I can't abandon it and start over either.

    If you've been sent to [next zone], Defending the Dale will be disabled until you finish the intro quests for [next zone].

    I ended up finding out what I did wrong....when first getting to lonleywood, I must have returned a quest to cattie brie, (when she was at campfire kneeling down, by the troll camp...not where she is in the town) and not picked up the next quest in line, so it interrupted my storyline somehow and I couldn't receive weekly quests.....all is well now
