    PVP needs solo/duo queue like now, matchmaking, normal queue, custom queue and the removal of SH boons/mounts/insignias/mount combat powers.

    This mate, the modification or erase of the leader board and a TUTORIAL!

    Today i was constantly paired with a south-american guild and they were- sorry to say, but there are no other words- noobs, they were talking strategy over the zone chat or LFG chat in Dom, i was like i would fall into my katana if i had one OMG. :s

    I was paired like 10 times now with them and i can't take it anymore, i have never seen a worse premade, cause yes they came in duo. Jesus beware of them.

    So please Dear Devs make a TUTORIAL for PVP and as i have suggested now here on forum like 100 times by now please make it non-skippable.

    My other suggestion is please Devs make the leader board show personal achievements. Why on earth is it, that if i have to be part of an utterly bad team as a solo player, i get the same worse results shown in leader board, as if it was my wrong doing. ??? Please make the leader board show my results or erase it for good.

    This will not draw players that abandoned pvp back.
    There are more than BIS players in this game
    RIP Real Tiamat, RIP Real Demogorgon RIP real Temple of the spider. Why remove non bis content to give to bis players ????
    FORCING the majority of your player base to play 4 mod old dungeons and trial will have a bad result on player base
    Changes are getting so bad i would rather prefer no new changes (RIP ICE FISHING in winter fest)

    Just happened yesterday this very scenario, 1st match I was with the two 4k players from same guild. We won easily

    Next these same two were on the other side... My team then lost easily as well

    Duo not as good an idea as Solo

    Make only Solo Please

    Ok, i try to write here cause maybe maybe a Dev ( @asterdahl , @strumslinger ) looks in and reads this.

    Please for God's sake fix the Q, it still fills players in, when a match is lost. I got now 14 matches lost this way, i was dropped into a match, which had only a few points till the end. Pretty annoying, fix it please.

    I didn't pvp in this event quite as much as the solo q event, but I personally noticed a distinct increase in the number of lopsided matches. I thought it would happen a little, but it exceeded my expectations and made it kinda discouraging. I previously thought solo/duo would be fine, but I'm really feeling now like a pure solo q would be much more fun and appealing.

    I generally like the idea of being able to pvp with a buddy, but at what cost? I think solo q should remain solo, while duos need a different outlet. Not sure if duo/trio is practical though, I imagine it would pop far less frequently than solo and premade.

    YES! YES! YES! Not to mention all the Campaign boons too! PVP needs to be normalized as much as possible otherwise it will never succeed. I wrote a detailed post on this subject and the "WHY" behind why PVP is failing. If you care to know what is wrong with PVP and why the % of players that PVP is so low in this game here is why:

    Premades are NOT the problem. Back in previous modules premades were a POSITIVE thing, not a negative one! If you found out someone was running a premade you put together one of your own and what was amazing, was there were MANY PUG groups who could beat premades!

    What has changed? Gear Gap.

    The players accused of "premade" and why premade has a bad name now is its synonymous with "BIS PVP Die Hard" players.

    Well what most people are FAILING to realize is, sure the Solo Q HELPS but it doesnt stop that BIS player going into PVP and wrecking an entire team 5v1 because he is a god among men with his BIS gear/Boons etc. How do I know? Because I am one of these players!

    The only thing this solo/duo Que thing does is further restrict the concept of "get your buddies online and play together" and makes PVP a much less social thing.

    Dont get me wrong, I am not saying premades should go around stomping everyone into oblivion. What I am saying is to address one of the main issues on WHY a PUG team cant beat a premade team - generally speaking.

    Well its because nearly ANY BIS player has played the game long enough, and is in a guild in which they have made friends. They get online to play with friends, not by themsevles. So they ask if anyone else wants to PVP and they have a premade.

    However the reason that premade wins with ease ISNT because its a premade. Its because they outgear their opponents MASSIVELY. Not really "outgear" but "out-boon".

    If you want to fix PVP. Please read that post. It isnt extremely long, and it is the #1 culprit on why PVP is failing.

    Thank you everyone for pointing out two of the main problems that PVP is failing to draw new interest: "it's the massive outgearing and outbooning" comparing to the level 70 PVP players just starting out.



    Until this is solved, even a maxed rank 70 character has no possibility in succeding in gaining any glory points to help their guild...

    Its not just they cant upgrade their SH. Even if they could, the SH boons DO provide benefits however it wont be enough even if smaller guilds or new players CAN rank it up. Why? It goes back to the CORE of the problem I wrote about in that thread. The IDEAL stats for PVE and PVP are too different. Players who are casual players or PVE players are severely gimped in PVP...

    Look at all the campaign boons - this is the BIGGEST issue. You have thousands and thousands of stats that can EITHER be optimized for PVE play or PVP play. Well the new player wont have these boons, or that many of them, so the disadvantage is clear there. The PVE player will have all these optimized around PVE play, which means that even if he does swap out his gear for PVP, he is at a massive disadvantage for PVP.

    Some people say "ok easy, allow us to dual spec" - This WONT solve the issue. It would HELP, much like solo/duo Q - but its a bandaid. PVE players and casual players are not going to invest alot of time reworking their character for PVP purposes, even if there was a dual spec. They mainly care about PVE and want to PVP in free time for fun.

    PVP is FAR too gear/build/boon dependent. PVP needs to be a "stripped down" version of your character, where things like gear DO make a difference. But make it a more level playing field for ALL players by removing Boons. Its the best thing this game could do right now.

    The PVE player would only lose his PVE focused stats in PVP then - not a major difference to him frankly. The PVP player would lose ALL their PVP focused boons then which WOULD be a HUGE loss.

    What this does is help bridge the gap between the PVE players and PVP players. It also allows you to NOT have to worry about some broken boon interacting weird with some power and causing massive imbalance with PVP - this type of thing has happened time and time again. Remember when Avalanche multi-procced on players? It gets rid of ALL this stuff - atleast for domination.

    - Remove Campaign Boons from PVP. make them PVE only - like companions.
    - Ideally the same would apply to MOUNT bonuses too. They should be seen as PVE only.

    This will "level" out PVP making it a much more even playfield for all players. New, PVE, and veterans. There is still an advantage to be had with GEAR and that GEAR is obtained from PVE content, so the PVE boons WILL help aid in getting the gear to make you powerful in PVP. So its not as if they have NO value to a PVP player. Id imagine many would still do them for fun, or in off time, but they dont become mandatory (like they are now).

    Do this, and it will draw MANY new players into PVPing and I would wager that it will also bring back players to the game. I have spoken with MANY players who said the #1 reason they dont want to come back is they dont want to have to do dailies for boons to be able to let them PVP competitively.

    People have been talking about how PVE and PVP needs to be "separate" well this is the best way to do it. All that power creep that came with boons. Make it PVE only. PVP in this game was AMAZING back in "mod 0" and even through mod 3.... But after mod 3 it just became a larger and larger and larger item gap and the MAIN culprit was Campaign boons adding more and more stats each module. Further seperating the player base into those that specced boons for PVE and those that specced boons for PVP....

    We have made a Lumberyard at Misty Hills, a Farm at The Millabout, 2 levels in Our Guild Hall, and a Market place... Every other project at this point requires Metal and Stone to complete it...

    Guild Hall level 3 requires "4 other structures at rank 1. (Only then it) Unlocks 2 New Production Plots and 1 new support plot."

    Those 2 new production plots are needed for... You Guessed It... Stone & Metal:(

    We have 3 structures at rank 1 (Lumberyard, Farm & Marketplace) and any other structure project at this point (without metal & stone) requires Glory... 164,000 glory to be exact; yet our guild has been painstakingly beat to a pulp for the last year and only aquired 12,182 Glory...

    The guild hall counts as one of those structures. Including the word "other" in the tooltip is very misleading because it causes people to think they have to build PvP structures, but I assure you that you do not.

    My guild has reached rank 8 and has never built anything yet using PvP currencies.

    This "Impossible PVP Success Issue" For The Average Level 70 Character "Is Also Dooming Stronghold Growth"!!!

    Please Make Some Changes To PVP Match-Ups That Gives Everyone A Chance To Succeed...

    Gear Score Matching, Boon Effect Reduction, Seperating Gear Types Matches (ie: Tenacity with Tenacity & Non-Tenacity with Non-Tenacity, etc).... Anything at this point couldn't make it any worse than it already is!!!

    I don't really care what "real" improvement you make to PVP, but this "Frothing Mouthed, Mad Butchers In A Meat Market" system (as of present), is a total waste of time, and does not even come close to to the "well thought out quality of the rest of the game"...

    This is very true and its a sad state of the game. There have been countless suggestions over the years and all of which have been broadly ignored. It seems the DEVs will take an idea, and rather than listen from the players on how to implement it, they chose their own route which ends up failing for reasons that the players have both thought of and tried to avoid AS WELL AS gave feedback on and was ignored. A perfect example is SH Siege PVP and allowing companions. Another example is OW/BI Dom and companions. Another is Artifact equipment...

    Now I believe we are faced with a crux point in the game. NW has been lucky thus far that no other GOOD mmo or action RPG game has come out recently. If there were one, players would FLOCK to it because there is a huge need not being met by this game genre.

    Neverwinter still has a chance to claim a large foothold in that player base by giving the players the game they are Craving. A solid PVE dungeon crawler where you can get online and run dungeons with friends. But ALSO needed is a good competitive PVP arena in which players can take their character and compete against other players.

    The problem, and where NW falls short, is in the competition. Because of all the power creep this game has brought. its completely ruined PVP. The gear and power gap between players is SO large that it makes for a NON competitive play field. Skill has about as little to do with your success as picking your characters race or name, and gear/power is what determines who will win.

    This can be reverted though! Thats the good news.     Depending on which UI you use to view construction progression, it doesn't display properly. If you look at the signpost in your stronghold, you'll see it. The one on the guild interface will show 0.0 until it's done.
