My character is moving by itself...

Since the most recent maintenance my characters are moving in a slow walk by themselves. About the same speed as an NPC. My directional buttons do nothing but slightly change the direction the character is walking in. This has affected all my characters. It has made the game impossible to play. This was not happening yesterday when I invoked. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Key Binds menu, Reset to Default.

    also /walk 0 - in-game console command;
    also ..\Neverwinter_en\Neverwinter\Live\localdata\GamePrefs.pref - wipe it
    Rimuru?
    Dead 🔪

    That is interesting....upon logging out and back in the problem was magically fixed. Thank you for the info someonedies I will commit that to memory if it happens again. I guess now I know how it feels to be an NPC in the game....LOL!

    Welp....It is back again this morning and resetting defaults (I have never changed key bindings ever) is not working nor is restarting the game. I'm at a loss for why this is happening. @strumslinger Have you heard of anyone else ever having this problem before?

    Just to follow up I have tried everything else suggested and still my characters just walk like an NPC by themselves. I can't figure out what is causing. I am not having any similar kind of problem on any other game, just this one.

    Do you have a controler plugged in ? If something is pushing the joystick, it behave that way.

    xxxhansolxxx you are 100% correct. Nothing is pushing my controller stick but that was the culprit. I disabled my controller yesterday and that fixed the problem. My understanding is there is no real controller support for the game and I have had this controller plugged in at least two months with no problem. Does this mean the developers are possibly working on controller support for the PC version of the game?

    @strumslinger You can tell the Devs that controllers plugged in (at least the Xbox 360 one) are causing a conflict with characters in the game. Do you know if they are possibly working on controller support by chance?

    Thank you everyone for your input and help!

    Your controller just isn't calibrated correctly. I, and many others over the years, have had this problem as well. It clears up when you've properly calibrated your controller or unplug it. Neverwinter is very sensitive to controller input, so while your controller may be calibrated enough for most games, it likely will still be just a tad off for Neverwinter.

    My character keep moving to my right side,it cant stand still.I already tried the key binds set to default and still does not work.Also when i press f to open or pick up something in wont stay long to do the task,it takes like 5 or more f press to open or do the task.If it become uncontrollable i just exit the game and play something else because I start to get frustrated and my patient of keep trying to press F to make it do the task is getting thinner. My friend told me to stop clicking the shift key since its a habit for me from the other game.It work a little bit but the problem still persist.

    All windows that i open wont stay long for me to do the task,like for example i click the inventory and I want to equip stuff and the window will close so quickly before i can equip.It does this stuff to all the window in the game.

    I cant exactly remember when it started but I have a faint memory that the problem started when I got a prompt before the game started about the game settings is something is something and all i did is click to agree with the prompt.

    Every issue you've stated can be a result of constantly moving. So, I have to ask, as I stated above to the prior users: do you have a gamepad (controller) plugged in? If so, please unplug it. The problem should then cease to be.
