Free market economy. There is nothing stopping me from posting any item at any value I wish, posting fee or not.

That's where you're wrong. If you post an item for 40M at 10% posting fee you run the risk of a 4M loss if it doesn't sell, so you need to malke damn sure it will sell for that amount or post it lower. You are, of course free to waste 4M of your ad, they are yours after all, just don't pretend the fee wouldn't make a difference in your posting behavior.
Hmmm! I don't think posting fee is 10%. The transaction fee is.

might as well say 12% all the way around posting fee and AH CUT

Well, no not quite. You get the posting fee back if your item sells. You only lose it if the item doesn't sell.

either way you look at it, EVERYONE, and I MEEN Everyone should have to pay the Posting Fee wether its 2% or 10% or wtf ever, just as long as they pay that fee like everyone else has to!!!!!!!!

You don't have to pay the posting fee. Paying a one time posting fee of 5,100,000 AD you can rid yourself of posting fees for 12 months! It's not like you do not have a choice.

You do realize, that you demand from PW, to remove a service already paid for via Zen for VIP, bc YOU dont like it.

If they look at their numbers, I am sure, their AH 'revenue' increased after VIP, bc big ticket items are now, sometimes, sold via AH and not traded, as before.

Get VIP and post for free or live with the status quo, bc there is no real reason to change it back beside some ppl being pissed, that other ppl have something they dont have.

I have VIP 12 and the only difference to my postings before is, that I post expensive items in the AH instead of selling them in trade chat. If I want to undercut someone, I did it before and I do it now and if someone pisses me of, I did not and I dont care if I lose AD, I will keep undercutting him, so he bleeds AD, as do I, but idk.

They have sloshed VIP many times and like many, I pay for it as well.

I no longer get access to cwards and pwards.
I no longer get additional extra AD from invoking

If its for the betterment of the game, I have no issue giving it up, in fact I agree 100% with @defiantone99 on this one.

Like what happened last 2 weeks ago, Brutal R7s are sold for 34k AD each. Someone undercut it to 17k AD 2 days later and I have no choice but to wait for my postings to get expired from hoping that someone will buy them. I'm pissed that I got those for 34k AD from AH and sold them for half the price that I earned back because someone undercuts them.

    Yup.

Cryptic probably sees it as killing three birds with one stone. They get to remove massive amounts of AD from the economy, people are given the illusion that lockboxes are worth opening and more people buy VIP. It's probably the part of VIP that has worked out the best for them.

There was no way Brutal R7s were maintaining that price after the summer event. People are dumping their excess now and the market is flooded (currently at ~14,900).

You still get the keys, 'just' the wards were removed. You still get the bonus AD, but you have to refine for it.
While the 'value' of the services might have decreased, the service promised and paid for is delivered.

To remove a service is something else. Besides that, imo this system is better for PM, so why should they change it? Furthermore, if the amount of AH posts is the issue for the problems, the proper solution is not, to try to decrease posts, but the hardware/ software problem.

You have to be extremely twisted to consider that "service" as delivered with those major modifications. Consider it the equivalent of your phone company selling you a plan with 10G bonus data. Then suddenly that 10G bonus data is changed such that the bonus data doesn't apply to streaming. The problem is there is no regulation of online games and the companies are not held accountable. Quite literally they do whatever they want. I consider this extremely twisted and shady business practice.

Losing 3 million every 5 days would sure prevent people from posting things for 40 mill.

Considering your example I still do not understand why it bothers people when someone uses the AH as extended bank space.
case A) the item never sells. tough luck!
case B ) the item sells. then the price might not have been to high.

I think it's rather amusing to see how many people ignore the elephant in the room:
massive amounts of bots posting their goods 24/7 on the AH
and i seriously doubt, that those AD sellers have ViP in the needed rank up and running...

So, maybe a handfull of high priced items in the AH are causing issues?
But hundreds or even thousands of bots bombarding the AH with their items is just fine?
I do believe in killing the messenger...
    Want to know why?
    Because it sends a message!

In light of the currently malfunctioning AH (given the regularity of such a thing, I think the AH has one of those "times of the month"), I reiterate that the only way to do any meaningful business on the AH without taking losses and micromanaging your sales is to not have to pay the posting fees. The game has for many months now consistently stolen posting fees from players with AH bugs. You can't even talk about the effect anything has on the economy until this problem is actually addressed. The underlying mechanical functions that form the (fairly literal) basis for the economy are diseased and malfunctioning.
