Masterwork Quest Reset on Copy

Ok, so I copied myself to the test server to get some information on some stuff I'm working on, that's beside the point.

What happened was upon logging in on that character my quest "Beauty if Only Hide Deep", which I am on the final stage of (Calashite Saddle) reset.
It reset to the first part, where the quest giver is asking for 6 each of Hard and Soft Aberrant Leather.

I may, or may not be able to actually complete this quest before next thursday, because as we all know there is only a 20% (35% with FHoG) to successfully craft the Calashite Saddle.

If I am not able to complete my saddle and turn in my quest.. if this quest resets... words cannot describe the soul crushing disappointment and loathsome rage I will feel towards the developers.

Double check these quests and insure that they are not going to reset on people, triple check if necessary. I'm giving you fair warning to absolutely make sure that this will not happen. If it does god help you from the fallout.

Update: 7 8 failed attempts later and I'm running low on lacquer branches. Have enough left for 1 more attempt.

I do hope this reset of quests thing is prevented, but honestly its not going to effect me either way. Succeed or Fail on my final attempt and I'm washing my hands of the Masterwork system altogether, selling off whats left of my resources and never looking back. Too many millions wasted.

You guys tried to revitalize the crafting system in the game and tie it into the Stronghold system as well. Neat idea, could have worked, but really.. its not fun, its not compelling, its not challenging. Its punishing. Even with a mythic Forgehammer, even with 2x professions event, even with an explorer's guild boon, its punishing.

Normally with a system like this, finally finishing one of the quests to unlock the tool and the recipe's would feel rewarding, it would give the player a sense of accomplishment. The system in its current form would give nothing but a sense of relief, a feeling of 'thank the gods that's finally over, I hope I never have to go through that again'.

There was a final preview patch update today, but copying is still borked, so it's impossible to check if this is fixed unless you've got an old copy floating around that you've got some progress on but not logged in since this bug debuted. I've never even had access to masterwork, so can't help.

Thanks for the heads Up Becky I can't copy a toon but I'm crossing my fingers that it's fixed.

I just logged onto preview, not a new copy. When I did so I got the 'Your quest Beauty is Only Hide Deep is out of date and will be reset', and it was. Whether or not this happens later on today when things go live is yet to be seen, god help you from the backlash if it does.

I'm glad that on live I gave up and abandoned the quest.Still trying to forget the millions of AD I lost trying to make a calashite saddle. My condolences to anyone who loses the progress in their masterwork quest if this happens tomorrow.

Update: My Leatherworking final task did NOT reset. Everything is a-okay on my end. Thanks! Now I can prep to try again during double guildmarks time
