Coffers are fine - there are people around with 200+ inoking chars so i understand why the chance is low...
but there should be another way to get wards for free besides invokation like t.bar store for example
This highlights why the system is completely flawed. No one should have 200+ invoking chars, what kind of design is even that? This is an rpg not a farming simulator. Invoking should be account-wise and give a lot of BoA stuff, enough for any casual to hop back in and play the game at least for 1 hour, that's it.

Invoking system is fine as it is, unless they want to make it once a day again, I would take that.
Everyone wants to change things around, if you dont want to invoke dont, invoking doesnt make you want to play the game, nor does it drive anyone away.
Its ludicrous to state that casuals dont play this game due to invoking system.. they dont play it because they get to lvl 70, see that its like years worth of playing x 20-30 hours a week at least a part time job, and run screaming to something a little more casual friendly.
I know if I started today, I doubt I would spend a dime and stay.
They could do many things to correct this, but in fact have constantly gone the other way. In fact invoking for even a casual is a good way for them to earn some AD, especially if they cant run more advanced stuff. So pish posh on many of you.
If you want to get bent over something, how about getting behind cwards and pward back into the tbar store and more enchants or a lowering of cost to do artifacts, both of these hurt casuals 10x more then a invoking system.
Stop penalizing legit players who dont bot, go after players who do. They can review me anytime they want to.. I dont ever invoke or rarely do at the same times, I have longish pauses, as i clear stuff from alts, ect ect ect.
Invoking doesnt take anything away from anyone.

But by not invoking you have ZERO chance of getting Coal Wards without paying money *ka-ching* for it. You shouldn't have to spend a four-hour cycle in-game just to complete invoking for a chance to one day get a Coal Ward.

I do 15.. I dont always get through the entire cycle, sometimes its like 5 I might get through, sometimes its all of them.
I dont stress over it, its just a simple way to get a chance at a cward + get some AD.
I dont do all of my alts, its too boring , nor do I stress about missing all of the invokes if Im busy running stuff.

I had 70 coffers built up a month or so ago, and I got two Coals. That's probably the first time I've opened a heap of them at once, so I don't know if that's normal RNG (although the first coffer gave me a Coal and then 1 more for the other 69 or so)

People with 200 toons or more have paid for them, either in real money, a lot of time, or both, so the amount of coals or preservs they would get is fine as it can be considerated as a return on investment... But that's not to be taken as a regular basis, nor as a fair exemple to make a statement of the dropping rates in general. Most players have between 2 and 6 toons, and the drop rate for them, is much too low. It is a bit like saying dungeons (2000) are all too easy ( i agree that 1600 are, and some 2000 needs to be made harder), but with a full team of 3k + IL, that's completly normal, you're way past the item requirement... Things need to be reworked regarding the majority of the player base in priority, not the few people with 100 toons or 4k IL complaining about how easy dungeons are. I agree though, that the lack of content makes high level players running the same dungeons over and over again, wich isn't much of a challenge for them anymore... I myself, have a 3.9IL GWF, and obviously, i find 1600 dungeons too easy, but at the same point, i know that i have over twice the item requirement, though, i got 23 toons as well, and still get a coal every 2 months or so, wich confirm my thoughts, drop rates are too low...

I have 20 invoking toons, and the coal wards come in spurts. Sometimes its a couple months and no C-ward. Othertimes, I get 2 per week for 3-4 weeks. I think the old C-ward drop rate was 15%. I don't know what the new % rate is, historically across all players.
Pres wards are more frequent, but I burn through them more quickly.

I haven't tracked it in a spreadsheet or anything but I get a c-ward every 50-80 boxes I open. I also wait until I have 80-100 or more boxes before I open them so it may just be coincidence.

As a new player the only thing I don't like about invoking is the XP granted from doing it. I want to play my characters, so I can learn how they work, and enjoy the leveling content of the game.
My partner and I have since stopped logging through our main characters and invoking on them except for the first invoke of the day, which we do while collecting our VIP keys. This way we still get a couple coins and a minimal amount of XP instead of gaining so much XP they level without us even playing them.
It would be nice if Neverwinter had the ability to pause all character XP gains, except professions XP of course. So you could invoke, or do other thing like skirmishes (especially the event skirmish which can level a low-level character many levels in a single fight) without leveling too fast!

Yes, I also had the level up too fast issue. However, I would like to have the ability for me to decide when to level up. i.e. store the XP but let me make the decision for when to level up and how many levels to level up.

xp from invoking is okay, but i dont want it to stop, it not that much.
just my guess to prevent invoking farm, they would had stop at 10th alt, any extra alts you have left, will get invokings closed for a day. they were meant as storage slots but not for invoke exploits.
You may be right, but as you said, this game will go on. If you so happen to still be playing this game, might as well ask yourself why you are still here.
Show me another free MMO set on Faerun that has comparable graphics and combat system and I'll drop NW like a bad habit. THAT is why I am still here...
Exactly! To be honest, it's still a good game despite all the issues. Anyway I don't know why people are complaining that pushing a button a few times a day does not yield high value rewards. Knowing Cryptic, if you continue to complain about the rarity they just might remove it entirely. That will stop the complaints.

Farming simulator, heh, well lets take a look at it...
artificial slow downs and roadblocks everywhere, barriers to effort and progress at every turn, desperately meager returns on actual game play, even spending zen only gets you a chance to gamble on a punishingly small chance for anything decent and the most modest advances requiring ungodly amounts of input...
Why you are right indeed, this is not a farm simulator, it is a rock breaking simulator.
Kudos and a half to anyone who has figured out how to work smarted instead of harder.

I don't see how that is not motivating. I'd do it for a gold coin. I guess I'm just not that picky. xD
