If the event lasts a week and you get one Figurine a day [ and they disintegrate after 45 days so you can't carry them over to next year ], apart from buying them from the Zen Store, how does one get 15 ?
I apologize for this being an obviously silly question but I really can not figure this out.

@strumslinger can you check and see if this is WAI please?

Do protection orders, and then follow the merchant back (you get drops from that when you or ANYONE initiates it, so just team up or wait around the merchant for someone else to start it. I think everyone in the circle around the merchant has a chance for a bounty drop (or whatever that case is).
Also, can anyone confirm if/how the event currencies (figurines and renown) expire? They each show a 43d cooldown timer on the item. Otoh, people in zone chat have told me that the renown doesn't expire (maybe this was different previously?).
Finally, does anyone have any info on how many days after the event ends that the vendor will stick around? Since we can still open 1 box per day (for at least 43 days, judging by the timer) - it looks like the figurine limit would be set by when the vendor goes away more than the boxes you have available.
Thanks for any help!
If an "event currency" expires it always shows a timer for it in the "tool tips" if you mouse over the currency, also with every "event" there will be a "store/npc" on the Dais in PE until the following maintenance day (Thursday of the week after the event ended)..........In regards to the "protector's bounty" boxes, this is from the "news" section under the Jubilee feed....."Players can earn temporary discounts in other stores, novelty items, and much more, all free while the event is running!" (not sure if that means the stuff won't be available (since usually it is) or they do mean what it says)
I hope this helps,
The statues used to be in the chest in the rooftop garden, I think.

People has been opening hundreds.
I personally don't care about Figurines but I have 12 without actually trying. I did open over 100 boxes for my main character. What I wanted were C-ward, P-ward and discounted coupon.
With over 20K renowns, I have to spend them on lunch box and that took forever to click, click...
There is nothing special about the garden. I won't spend money on that key.
First ya need to open up 100 Bounties and give out 100 Hospitalities to get the chance at the good stuff. 100 Hospitality means ya have to open around 500 Bounties.

If the event isn't fixed next year I won't bother.
The changes were a big improvement for players looking to the event for wealth-building or personal progression (rather than collecting gewgaws). The discounts were actually a major opportunity if you were in a position to take advantage of them.
The big failure, in my opinion, was not hitting the right balance for new and established players to all get what they wanted.
Also, because doing the event "properly" required focus on one character, having all the big-ticket items from the renown store bind to character really doesn't work well anymore. Making the thrones and mount bind to account would make a lot more sense when the most benefit comes from escorting the merchant on a single character. Get some fun stuff for your alts, and not have buckets and buckets of currency on a single character with effectively nothing to spend it on.
tl;dr Too hard to get enough figurines even on a single character, but renown suffered from gaining far more than single character could reasonably spend.
