do you guys think the new xbox one s will run neverwinter better? or is it just the game it's self that runs bad?

    It has the be the servers... all my other games run fine.

    Yup same. I would wait for the scorpio next year instead of the slim.

    It's their servers - PC guys have the same problems as us regardless of machine spec.

    Scorpio has updated processors and wont be out until X-mas 2017, it may even be the xbox two by then. It seems to be targeting the VR market. The xbox one s is the slim but has updated graphics capability, built in power adapter and a couple other small changes. There is a chance the newer s console could load the maps a little faster but it will probably not fix any lag issues.

    Project Scorpio is an update to the Xbox One. Remember when the new generation of Xbox 360 came out with better hardware and a larger hard drive? Same idea, only Project Scorpio has an 8 core processor and the best graphics unit ever put into a console anywhere. The push behind Scorpio is 4k Gaming, whereas the S with support 4k Video only. Unfortunately in terms of game performance it's the engine the game is built on and the servers where it is stored, not the hardware of the machine running it.

    I'm still currently using my day 1 console and it's starting to run poorly. I'm going to upgrade to the S this fall and then probably wait a year after Scorpio release to upgrade again. I've definitely noticed some performance issues directly related to my console, but for the most part upgrading to the S won't fix a lot of the problems.

    Can any of you confirm here installing Neverwinter on a USB3 external HDD drive helps on faster loading?

    I hate MS and its console with a passion but I think the Scorpio will either make MS king again or by the time it hits new technology is out and Sony is working on PS5 with a 50% increase in performance.

    Who knows. What I do know is that both console makers are jumping the gun to get us to sink more money into their pockets with slightly updated systems.

    I will wait until the PS5 as the Pro offers nothing new and the Scorpio will be faster, but will it be enough to encourage me to buy it. Probably not after all the HAMSTER I dealt with owning a XBox 360.

    I own 1 PS3 until the PS4 came out. I owned 5 XBox all due to red light of death, even the Slim. I swore never to buy another XBox due to all the issues I have had with the 360. My brother is on his fifth XB1 and I'm still on my launch day PS4. Quality does mater and Sony seems to do a better job with it from my experience.
