How would you rate the Damage classes in order? :3

ltsmithnekoltsmithneko Member Posts: 1,578 Arc User
Currently I'd say

1st. Gwf
2nd.HR (depends if your built correctly)
3rd.SW (depends on your buffy teammates ;3 )
4th.CW
5th.TR

As for the other classes ive seen pass some of these dps classes, but ive still yet to be passed as a GWF by 4k Gwf's, SW's, or HR's. (Fede your an exception if you see this due to that one broken power ya have, using our damage as yours. :3 )

How would you rate them? ^.^

Best personal damage or best party buff damage? Because if you're just looking at pain giver you've missed the point of about 75% of the builds out there.

Gwf has good immediate damage output but very little that buffs party damage that I've seen so far. Mine is only 64 and on first build though so might be more I haven,t figured out yet. Also currently broken with Lostmauth set.

HR is awesome if built right. You can have 140% crit severity just from feats, 125% of that is constant. Plus the class feature that gives everyone in your group combat advantage as long as they are near you adds a pretty big buff to party. Can be built either immediate damage or DoT. Lostmauth does not work like it does on GWF or CW.

SW is great for tougher enemies, lots of dots and debuffs mechanics. Won't score top if the run has tons of mobs but I'd take one in party for most things any day.i thin Lostmauth is in line with HRs on this class.

CW had two extremely different paths and a huge variety of build variants. Spells storm can unleash a ton of immediate damage and is great for clearing mobs and deals decent enough damage against elites. I prefer MoF though, huge party damage buff plus dots. I know from mining my own I don't typically score high on the board, but I built mine to be a boss killer not a trash killer and on average I deal between 30-50% of the overall damage to the boss stacking DoTs and debuffs, depending on the party composition. Spells tors get roughly 30% damage buff from Lostmauth, whereas Lostmauth doesn't work well for MoF due to the DoTs.

TRs get a lot of hate but when built well and geared up and played intelligently still have some of the best single target damage in the game. Not clear how well Lostmauth works for TR yet, have not seen any hard data, but I assume it's the same as the other classes where it won't proc on DoTs.

Which would I rather be grouped with? I prefer builds that bring something to the table for the group. That means Guardian Fighters and debuff Clerics for tank and heals.
    1. Hunter Ranger
    2. MoF CW
    3. SW
    4. TR
    5. GWF/yet another damn spells storm renegade CW.
Which scores best on the charts? Usually whoever has the best IL and build. All classes are capable of some insane damage, but the pain giver chart counts trash mobs which are no challenge to anyone, so it's kind of a terribly way to measure up what class is the best dps. But since DPS means damage PER SECOND I'd say it's whichever class runs the most DoTs

I run my CW frequently with a friend who has a GWF of similar IL. The outcome on paingiver depends on whether we face small or large groups of enemies & whether or not there's a lot of running & he gets into the aggro before me.

In larger groups such as ETOS I do better, in smaller groups like ELOL he does better. You also have to take into consideration that as "another" renegade, I buff his damage output.

I use the Ironzerg build and he uses the Lia Knowles - for those that care about such things.

I run a lot of elol using queue finder so I end up running with a lot of random groups. Top paingiver is a GWF 9\10. Unless there isn't a bubble paladin, then the SWs are top and the GWFs are puddles on the floor.

    1. GWF - If built right and have a lot invested.
    2. CW - Spellstorm+a lot of mobs and it's almost impossible to beat a SS Thaum/Icy.
    3. HR - A decked out Trapper build can almost put up the same numbers as a Thaum. Almost.
    4. TR - A properly specced AoE TR can put up similar numbers to most HR. Their key advantage over HR is boss damage.
    5. Prism OP - You've all seen the scoreboards. No comment.
    6. SW - The only high DPS ones rely on a broken game mechanic that'll likely get patched, and those ones require a bubble Pally. Very weak class right now. I miss a real Lifesteal SW.
    7. DC.
    8. GF.

A well run GWF will always out-dps my HR but I`m closing the gap slightly on the top ones lol. Every now and then a SW will come along and smash out higher DPS... I actually have seen a TR or 2 around who have hit around the same DPS or a little more which is always a nice surprise.

I tend to look at the other Leaderboards more these days, I like to see healing and damage taken etc and who has hit the deck a lot of times :)

Go tell that to the 4k Sw's in my guild.... cx They'll laugh at that, because if your gwf is built right no other class can get near. :3 Should run with me sometime.

Yeah it's very dependent on having large groups - we suck on single target compared to GWF since the nerf.

so, I've seen people ask and they get told to go to mmominds. But, part of what lacks there is 1. A TR build for current content (my TR was my starting character that I was about to respec to perma stealth prior to mod 6), but now he's just lost have reroll and respec waiting for when I find a good build, and 2. It's referenced a little the cost to make the"proper build".

I have 1 of ea toon all 60+, but only the TR, OP, and GWF at 70. I main the OP and GWF currently because OP seems easy and I like GWF but she feels far from top, and TR is just hanging till he's relevant. I'm looking to find out if what it's going to cost me to finish my GWF vs. leveling the HR/SW/CW to being my dos main.

    Thanks

Armadeon, one spells storm renegade per lobby is great, I keep getting grouped with 3 of them, nor so helpful

Gwf AoE is very deadly just like our single target. :3

Not including broken class mechanics that will be patched sooner or later, my order is:

    1-GWF
    2-HR
    3-TR
    4-CW
    5-SW
    6-Paladin
    7-GF
    8-DC

**Of course this list is assuming that each class has the same general Item Level and stats.

    Depends on skill and gear
I play CW and I've out dps'd GWF and SW unless they're are at 3k IL, I'm only 2.4k IL

Scourge warlock all day easy. Tell your friends to learn to play. Come to paragon gaming and do some runs. I'm a tr by the way, but truth is truth
  • firepats12#3687 firepats12 Member Posts: 264 Arc User
@raymond00713 That is far from the truth. The only SW that can out DPS any other DPS class are those who use a broken mechanic that is pretty much cheating in-game. So take that cheating away, and every SW is trash.
  • zachsoccer77#2037 zachsoccer77 Member Posts: 17 Arc User
I agree with Raymond, as a top tier gwf with 3.5k IL, I cannot even come close to beating the SWs in our guild (paragon gaming). I won't release their builds but I can tell you none of them utilize the puppet for their damage output. I encourage you to ask any one of our members for a run and you will be wrong about the sw, 100% garuntee they will out dps every person you got

How can't you beat an SW? lol Tell me your artifacts, comp, artifact weapon choice, artifact weapon power ect. :3

Unless they are so much higher geared than the others in the group (or use the broken cheat mechanic) there is literally no way a SW can out DPS a similar geared GWF/HR/CW/or TR.

But if you say your guild SW with the same Item Level as your GWF can out DPS you at all, then either you are not paying GWF properly or the SW is in fact using the broken mechanic.

Just check the PC forums as well. No SW can out DPS anyone unless they are either higher Item Level or use the broken in-game cheat mechanic.

But I won't argue. If you say a SW can out DPS you, then that SW can out DPS you. I personally never had any SW out DPS my GWF when I was playing, unless they were better geared or used the cheat. But that just my experience.

As you see im a 3.2 IL even the 4k's shouldn't be a problem to beat... lol Never have had trouble with em. Remember when they did have the broken mechanic? :3 Still beat them then<3

I am the warlock he's talking about. I use soulbinder fury "type" build. I don't use anyone's but my own I have experimented and repect over 30 times. My Ilevel is 3700+. Not that ilevel is a huge thing but i coukd be at 4k if i used personalized rings. I use two band of laothings. Straight single target dps with only aoe is TT. We have 2 other warlocks in my guild running fury and can mop the floor against other similar Ilevel classes. No puppet and you won't see a puppet out from any of us unless we get one from killing flames.

Plus the puppet is only broken in T2 dungeons. It scales to them. Most people who use the "broken" mechanic get their butt handed to them in t1s, skirmishes, etc but will beat the same person In T2's. That's why it's obviously broken.

All good either way. Basically the debate on high dps is asinine. It's 100% dependant on build, skills, rotation, knowing what you are doing, and items. Once bis, all dps classes can put up huge numbers with competent gear and skill.

And to get back to y'all comments about pc saying warlocks can't do nothing without the mechanic, you need to go and check again. There is a big thread explaining why fury can mop a puppet build once bis.

I currently rock the lostmouth set legendary neck and epic belt, I use the twisted set both epic with the 6% increased sure strike damage bonus and the increase Crit chance with weapon master on the offhand, I have the lantern, blue dragon, horn and cw sigil all mythic, and for companions I have epic mercenary, epic fire archon, epic air archon, and rare dancing blade and rare eryines and I also use Lia knowles build and I have 100% Crit chance with all procs, trust me I'm a beast and rarely get out damaged by anybody except warlocks and gwfs with much higher item levels, feel free to add raw carnage and myself (gt is Zachsoccer77) as we play all the time and I garuntee you he will out dps any gwf
