About an hour ago, my guild did a few SH dragons as an event. Several guild members, myself included, noticed that we were being one-shotted by things that didn't do so before (for me, it was the wing-flap knock-back from the red dragon).
Then running edemo, I noticed that Cw's 'steal time' is not slowing demons during casting like usual.
Were there changes to affect difficulty introduced with the maintenance that turned on Waukeen/2xEnchants?
(My game has been running like HAMSTER since the maintenance lagging to a complete stand-still several times per day, so the latter may just have to do with server latency---but the one-shotting is inexplicable.)

[Edit 2: just ran eToS, and took a 300k crit on "spider's bite" from Priestess of Syndreth...instagib with no chance to be revived. I've probably run eTOS 50 times and never seen anything like it.]

i noticed something weird today in valindra( that dungeon had always latency).i have played my gf and with steel defence and without two days ago. i didnt take so much damage aggro and blocking monsters ( also help me i have and 60% and 20% deflect).today i changed to vanguard because i bored the steel defence mode and i noticed monsters hit me very hard even when i was blocking and using menace and lunging to max the damage resistance i pop up daily 6 times vs 15 monsters ( tactician). i dont know latency? something broke again? no clue.

Considering they didn't actually patch anything, no. Events that haven't had any changes to rewards or mechanics can be flipped on and off without patching them. This week was just a reset.
It could be related to poor performance, not actually getting a chance to see the hit that kills you or something.
It is all about lag. Sometimes after server restart game works differently - sometimes better sometimes worse. In few hours things will settle down to "normal" behavior.
Anyway playing game without lag is completely different experience. I was one of lucky players left on server after previous maintenance broke account server and new players were not able to join for 3 hours. Game works incredibly well with just 10% of typical players online. I never ever saw IWD without lag before and it was relay nice. Even in VT pulling 30 enemies at once was lagless.
