awesomme! a vampire themed module! I really hope we'll get it aswell. I hope we'll get some nice maps though, we haven't really gotten many maps with the last modules.
I really really want to like this, I hope they do it correctly.

It would really depend on the limits of Cryptics license. If Crpytics license is limited to only the Forgotten Realms setting. Then anything to do with Ravenloft would be out.

Even if the license allows it, we are still talking different worlds and settings. There would need to be a reason for us to suddenly forget all the troubles of the Realms and jump into a portal to a completely different world just to fight Strahd.

That's Ravenloft. Neverwinter is set in Forgotten Realms... which is good, since I'm still hoping for Underdark 2.

it would be the furst time they follow the same modules for all of their products in a good while, I don't see that happening.

We may not necessarily travel to Ravenloft, but instead fight similar foes in Faerun as a kind of "mirror universe." We've already begun on the vampire slayer path in the Salvatore questline.

Even if there aren't any license issues, Ravenloft isn't a place you return from easily. It wouldn't work as an adventure zone which we freely travel to and from.

"The magical mists of Ravenloft could appear anywhere in the Dungeons & Dragons universe." So yes, they can do it.

Getting into Ravenloft is easy, my point is that escape isn't. So riding up to the permanent exit portal is contrary to the theme of Ravenloft.

Getting to Mantol-Derith is a long and difficult journey. A line of text in a cutscene tells us it takes several days. After that we come and go as we please.

A jaunt to Ravenloft shouldn't be much of a problem.

Actually, Ravenloft is really special. I was a Ravenloft DM back in the mid 90's. Its a realm that sucks up adventurers from other realms and tries to trap them within becoming part of the darkness that exists in each of the domains in Ravenloft. Best part of table top ravenloft is playing each of the players off each other, trust nobody, fear everybody. The more evil you are the harder it becomes to escape the clutches of Ravenloft. Each Domain has a master, Strahd is the master of the capital domain. My personal favorite was Azalin the Lich though. I could totally see a Ravenloft excursion in Neverwinter, just hope they don't cheese it up with more recycled content.

Could make it a rescue story adventure to bring someone back from Ravenloft like Lord Neverember.

I'm not too familiar with Ravenloft, but it seems cool! I really liked the Innistrad block from Magic.

The last two times they sync'd with WotC on upcoming content(ToD and Underdark) it was announced same day. So I don't think this will be finding its way to Neverwinter. Could be wrong but doubt it.

Well, if strum isn't familiar with Ravenloft, I think it's safe to say we won't be getting it next mod

The Ravenloft Campaign can easily fit along side the Forgotten Realms and has done so numerous times in the past. Just one example being that one of the major NPCs from Ravenloft is from the Realms, Jander Sunstar. Ravenloft can reach into any plane and Crystal Sphere in the D&D Multiverse and as stated, going to Ravenloft is much easier than leaving it. Leaving is not impossible though and only hard for the majority of its inhabitants and merely troublesome or difficult for the more intelligent and powerful residents - depending on circumstances of course.

As a DM, I do not see any issue if there were to be a Module based on Ravenloft as the traveling to and from could be explained in a myriad of ways, especially with the Magic-Rich Forgotten Realms being involved in any part. Do I think it is likely we'd see such a module? No, I'd assume they'd skip over other Campaigns and stick to things that directly affect or take place in the Realms.
