Race reroll tokens do not work as advertised???

I'd like to know if others have had problems with their Zen purchases and the corresponding lack of empathy or support by this company.

I purchased Zen based upon an advertised price reduction on race reroll and retraining tokens. To be clear, I spent REAL money based upon a promise by the company and a generally accepted understanding on the product functionality.

Unfortunately, the race reroll did not function as advertised. Despite the use of two race rerolls the base stats did not change. The rolls were performed very carefully and committed only after verification the stats matched a suggested end game profile. Once the character was used in game, it turns out the old stats were retained and two attempts at race reroll did nothing to change that. Two corresponding retraining tokens were used simultaneously during the process and expended based upon the hope SOMETHING would work. To my dismay, the base stats did not change.

I opened a support ticket to resolve the issue and was only offered a refund on the Zen. Not all of the Zen, but the portion used on race rerolls. This despite the fact all Zen was used under assumptions the end result would be as advertised. The refund came AFTER the sale period, so I was no longer able to purchase the same products at the original price.

I can't believe this failure is a lone exception, suggesting the company advertised a product they were aware they might not be able to deliver. The complete failure to offer any attempt to resolve the issue is disappointing.

Advertising a defective product, failing to make ANY attempt to resolve the successful completion of the offered service, then refusing to refund the REAL money, instead offering "store credit", is suggestive of deliberate corporate deception. I can't help but wonder if the boards of directors of all corresponding companies support this business practice. If Microsoft is aware and condones this type of business practice by partners, I'm disappointed.

Now I'm feeling resentment and wondering what to do. I've spent a LOT of money on the game and feel the company has no appreciation for their customers. It feels like standard management policy.

Has anyone else experienced what they believe to be deceptive business practice. I won't say it's a form of fraud, but others might.

I believe it. In a single encounter with support I went from being an enthusiastic customer willing to spend more money to a disgruntled one wanting to tell everyone I can to avoid spending money at all cost. Their support is a discredit to all the people who worked hard to create the game. Selling products I believe they know to be defective and not attempting any support is questionable business practice at best. This company won't get another penny from me and I highly recommend the same to everyone.

Um, you know you race re-roll from the main character selection screen once you have bought a token right?

All you have to do is log out, and there you can log back in but as you are doing so use the re-roll to do your stats and class etc.

Yep. I didn't change race. I suspected afterwards that might be an issue. I'm sure they're aware but getting them to admit it and own their problem doesn't seem likely. They put the issue back on us.

I've race-rerolled at least half a dozen times, including several times without changing the race, and have never had a problem with it.

I think it's hit or miss. I've done two now where I retained race but attempted stat reroll. It gives the appearance of working, allowing commit after the rolls, but once in game the stats haven't changed. I have no issue with bugs if addressed properly. The issue I have is poor support and refusal to return the real money spent when it's an issue THEY own.

I purchased the Dragonborn Race Reroll Bundle and after applying it to my character none of my stats changed. The support team recognizes it as a bug, but they gave me no solution or possible date for a solution until now... Spent 2.5k zen for nothing.

I know this was an issue when they first presented this pack and people went nuts that they couldn't race re-roll. Submit a ticket and wait I guess. Also just to be thorough, you are trying to do it from the character selection screen right? It will ask delete, rename, change race....

You know in this day and age you can do screenshots and videos, instead of random 1 line posts :)

You have to completely Log Out of the game, and when you log back in you can Race Re-roll from the Character Select screen.

Took me a minute to figure that out, but still..

Closing this necromantically risen thread up. However, when purchased, a Race Reroll Token is used at the Character Selection Screen, as it says in its description.
